This medication is used in patients with essential hypertension where blood pressure is not adequately controlled with amlodipine or valsartan monotherapy.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dose of this medication is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is advised to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning) if possible.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy have not been established for pediatric patients under 18 years, so the use of this medication is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. If pregnancy is confirmed, discontinue use immediately. Patients with allergies to the ingredients in this medication or similar medications, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, those with severe kidney or liver dysfunction should not take this medication. Patients who are sodium or fluid depleted could experience hypotension with this medication, so their condition should be well checked before starting treatment, and if hypotensive symptoms occur, appropriate measures should be taken immediately. Patients with hyperkalemia must frequently monitor potassium levels when taking this medication with drugs that increase potassium. Patients with impaired kidney function also require caution. Patients with kidney issues, those who have undergone kidney transplants, those with a history of angioedema, patients post-heart failure or myocardial infarction, and those with aortic stenosis should use this medication with caution under close medical supervision. During treatment with this medication, side effects such as headache, dizziness, edema, itching, rash, dyspepsia, and hypotension may occur, and if symptoms are severe or abnormal, medical advice should be sought immediately. Caution is advised when driving or operating machinery as dizziness or fatigue may occur. This medication can interact with other antihypertensive drugs, diuretics, potassium-sparing agents, NSAIDs, etc., so inform your healthcare provider about any other medications you are taking. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should not use this medication, and breastfeeding women should avoid taking this medication. Children under 18 years of age are not recommended for this medication as safety and efficacy have not been sufficiently established. Elderly patients may take similar doses as adults but should consult a physician based on their physical condition. In cases of overdose, severe hypotension, tachycardia, or shock may occur, so strict adherence to the prescribed dosage is essential, and immediate emergency treatment should be obtained if abnormal symptoms arise.
