This medication is used for painful muscle spasms associated with musculoskeletal disorders, such as cervical radiculopathy, adhesive capsulitis, and lower back pain. It is also effective in treating spastic paralysis caused by neurological disorders, with representative diseases including cerebrovascular disorders, spastic spinal paralysis, cervical spondylosis, postoperative sequelae, trauma sequelae, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and cerebral palsy. This drug alleviates muscle spasms and rigidity, reducing discomfort for the patient and aiding functional recovery. Therefore, it is used for the treatment of these various muscle and nerve-related diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

As Eperisone Hydrochloride, take 50mg orally, three times a day after meals. Adjust dose appropriately according to age and symptoms.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. First, patients who are allergic to this drug or those with myasthenia gravis should not take this medication. Additionally, since it contains lactose, patients with a genetic disorder preventing lactose digestion should also avoid this drug. Patients who have had allergic reactions to medications or those with liver function issues should use this drug with special caution. Since liver function may deteriorate, the patient's condition should be closely monitored. While taking this medication, various side effects may occur, so caution is necessary. Rarely, shock may occur, and if symptoms arise, the medication should be discontinued immediately and proper treatment sought. Liver and kidney function may be affected, so regular tests should be conducted and administration stopped if any issues arise. Blood abnormalities, skin rashes, itching, psychological symptoms (insomnia, drowsiness, headache, etc.), and gastrointestinal issues (nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, etc.) may also occur. Urinary problems or systemic weakness, dizziness, etc., may also present, necessitating careful monitoring of the body's condition. Particularly, serious skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome may occur, so if symptoms like fever, red spots, blisters, itching, eye redness, and oral inflammation develop, the medication should be discontinued immediately and medical attention sought.
