Chronic persistent hepatitis with elevated SGPT levels indicates dysfunction of liver function. This medication is used to improve liver function impairment and alleviate liver cell damage due to chronic hepatitis. Therefore, it helps improve liver health in patients with chronic persistent hepatitis.

How to take

Adult dose

Typically, adults take 1 capsule 3 times a day after meals.

Precautions

This drug should not be used in patients with total bile duct obstruction. Additionally, this drug contains lactose, so patients with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. Patients with chronic active hepatitis or cirrhosis, those with hypokalemia, patients with severe pancreatic diseases, and those with peptic ulcers or cholelithiasis should exercise caution when using this drug. Taking this medication may sometimes result in gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting, and rarely abdominal pain, constipation, heartburn, or upper abdominal discomfort may occur. Moreover, hypersensitivity reactions such as skin itching or rashes may occur, and although skin rashes occasionally develop, they usually improve with the concurrent use of antihistamines. Transient jaundice symptoms may appear; however, they will resolve upon discontinuation of the medication or when used alongside jaundice treatment agents. Rarely, there may be symptoms of lethargy or dizziness, so caution is advised. This drug must be taken according to the prescribed dosage and regimen, and if symptoms do not improve after taking it for up to 8 weeks, or if any abnormal symptoms occur, the medication should be discontinued, and consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is recommended. It is important to store this drug out of reach of children. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should avoid taking this medication as it may pose risks to the fetus. Finally, caution is advised when taking this medication along with oral diabetes drugs as it may enhance the effect of the diabetes medication.
