Adult dose
For recurrent tonsillitis and upper respiratory infections, lower respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, and mild to moderate skin and soft tissue infections, the usual dosage is 25 mg/3.6 mg/Kg/day (as amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium) divided into two doses. For severe infections such as otitis media, sinusitis, lower respiratory infections such as bronchopneumonia, and urinary tract infections, the usual dosage is 45 mg/6.4 mg/Kg/day (as amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium) divided into two doses.
Child dose
The 7:1 syrup is not suitable for children under 2 months. Children with renal impairment are not suitable for the 7:1 syrup.

This medication is effective for treating infections caused by various bacteria. It is used for respiratory infections such as acute and chronic bronchitis, lobar and bronchopneumonia, pleural effusion, lung abscess, tonsillitis, sinusitis, and otitis media. It is also effective for urinary tract infections such as cystitis, urethritis, and pyelonephritis. It is effective for pelvic infections and gonorrhea, and is used to treat carbuncles, abscesses, soft tissue infections, and wound infections, as well as dental infections for rapid improvement of infections. This medication effectively treats infections targeting various bacteria, including several resistant strains.

How to take

Adult dose

For recurrent tonsillitis and upper respiratory infections, lower respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, and mild to moderate skin and soft tissue infections, the usual dosage is 25 mg/3.6 mg/Kg/day (as amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium) divided into two doses. Precautions

This medication contains penicillin-type antibiotics, so individuals with a history of allergic reactions to this drug or similar drugs should not use it. Caution is advised for patients with a history of allergies, bronchial asthma, or symptoms such as urticaria. Patients with gastrointestinal symptoms such as vomiting or diarrhea should be careful as the drug may not be well absorbed. When taking this medication, consult a doctor immediately if symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, or bloody stool occur, as severe gastroenteritis or colitis may occur. Symptoms of liver dysfunction may rarely appear, so especially for the elderly or those taking it for a long time, liver function tests may be necessary. Skin rash, itching, and in severe cases serious skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome may occur, requiring immediate cessation of administration upon symptom onset. Blood-related symptoms can also rarely occur, so if bleeding or anemia symptoms arise, medical evaluation is necessary. Symptoms of central nervous system abnormalities such as anxiety, confusion, or seizures may appear, and if such symptoms occur, they should be reported immediately. This medication may interact with other drugs; therefore, if taking other medications, it is essential to inform healthcare providers. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a doctor and use it cautiously, especially during early pregnancy it is advisable to avoid it. Children and the elderly may have different physiological functions, so dosage and intervals should be monitored carefully. Regular liver, kidney function, and blood tests are recommended for safety during the course of the medication. This medication should be stored in a sealed container as it is sensitive to air and moisture.
