Hello. This medication consists of two components, telmisartan and rosuvastatin, and is used only for patients who are receiving both medications concurrently. Telmisartan is mainly used to treat essential hypertension and to reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. In particular, it reduces the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and death caused by cardiovascular diseases in high-risk cardiovascular disease patients aged over 55 who cannot use ACE inhibitors. Rosuvastatin lowers cholesterol levels in combination with diet for several types of dyslipidemia related to hypercholesterolemia and delays the progression of atherosclerosis. Additionally, it reduces the risk of stroke and myocardial infarction in certain high-risk groups and aids in percutaneous revascularization. Overall, this medication improves hypertension, dyslipidemia, and associated cardiovascular disease risks.
