Improvement of Type 2 Diabetes (Blood Sugar Control)
This medication is used along with diet and exercise to help control blood sugar in patients with Type 2 diabetes. It may also be used alone, but if its effectiveness is insufficient after using other blood sugar-lowering agents, it can be combined with sulfonylureas, metformin, or insulin. Additionally, nutritional counseling, weight loss, and regular exercise are crucial for patients with Type 2 diabetes. Such lifestyle improvements help maintain the effectiveness of medication therapy for a long time in addition to initial treatment. This medication is used to help patients effectively control their blood sugar.
This medication is taken orally once a day, regardless of meals. 1. Monotherapy - Start with 15 mg once daily. - If the effect is insufficient, the dosage may be increased to 30 mg once daily. 2. Combination Therapy - For use with sulfonylureas, metformin, or insulin, the initial dose is 15 mg once daily. - During combination therapy, current doses of other medications should be maintained, but if hypoglycemic symptoms occur, adjustments may be necessary.
There is no experience in children under 18 years of age; thus, administration is not recommended.
