How to take

Adult dose

Typically, 1 capsule is taken orally three times a day after meals for adults.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with complete bile duct obstruction. Additionally, this medication contains lactose, so patients with genetic conditions such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. Patients with chronic active hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, hypokalemia, severe pancreatic disease, peptic ulcers, or cholelithiasis should exercise caution when using this medication. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting may occur occasionally when taking this medication, and rarely, abdominal pain, constipation, heartburn, or discomfort in the upper abdomen may also be experienced. Moreover, hypersensitivity reactions such as itching or rash may occur, and rarely, skin rashes may develop, although these symptoms usually resolve when antihistamines are taken together. Transient jaundice may occur, but symptoms can improve by discontinuing the medication or using jaundice treatment agents. Rarely, systemic malaise or dizziness may also be experienced. This medication must be taken according to the prescribed dosage and frequency, and if symptoms do not improve after long-term use or unusual symptoms appear, the patient should immediately stop taking it and consult a physician or pharmacist. It is important to store this medication in a safe place out of reach of children. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should avoid taking this medication as it may harm the fetus. Finally, when taken with oral antidiabetic agents, the effects of the diabetes drugs may be enhanced; therefore, careful use is advised with consultation from healthcare professionals.
