Adults: This medication should be applied 1 to 3 sheets once a day on the most painful area of intact skin for a maximum of 12 hours. Application method: Remove from the sealed pouch and apply immediately; it can be cut into smaller sizes with scissors and the release film removed for use. For patients with reduced strength or difficulty in drug loss, it is recommended to apply to a narrow area only. Skin irritation or burning sensation.
This medication can cause serious side effects if chewed or swallowed by children or pets, so it must be stored and disposed of safely out of reach of children and pets. Using this medication over a large area or for more than 12 hours a day can increase the concentration of the drug in the blood, leading to serious side effects. Patients with allergies to this medication or hypersensitivity to amide local anesthetics should not use it. This medication contains propylene glycol and sodium para-aminosulfate; patients with allergies to these components or a history of asthma should use it with caution. Skin reactions such as blisters, bruising, itching, and rash may appear at the application site, most of which are temporary and mild symptoms. Rarely, severe allergic reactions or symptoms such as difficulty breathing and shock may occur. If such symptoms arise, immediate medical attention should be sought. In cases of overdose, serious symptoms affecting the central nervous and cardiovascular systems, such as dizziness, headache, drowsiness, convulsions, and shortness of breath may occur. Patients with severely impaired liver function should be cautious as drug metabolism may be difficult, increasing the risk of high blood concentrations. It is not recommended to use on damaged or infected skin, and care should be taken to avoid contact with the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse with clean water immediately. Using this medication with other local anesthetics or specific antiarrhythmic drugs may increase the risk of side effects, so consultation with a healthcare professional is advised. During pregnancy, it should be used only when necessary, and caution is advised during breastfeeding as the drug may pass into breast milk. The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been sufficiently established in children, so its use in children is not recommended. If overdose is suspected, blood drug concentration should be measured, and appropriate treatment should be provided based on symptoms, as dialysis will not be effective. After use, hands should be washed thoroughly, and used patches should be folded safely and disposed of in a place that is inaccessible to children and pets.
