This medication helps protect liver function and alleviate damage to liver cells in cases where SGPT levels are continuously elevated due to chronic persistent hepatitis. It is used to reduce inflammation caused by hepatitis and to normalize liver function.

How to take

Adult dose

Typically, 1 capsule taken orally after meals three times a day for adults.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with complete biliary obstruction. Additionally, since this medication contains lactose, it should not be administered to patients with genetic disorders such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Caution should be exercised when using this medication in patients with chronic active hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, hypokalemia, severe pancreatic disease, peptic ulcers, or gallstones. Digestive symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting may occasionally occur when taking this medication, and rarely abdominal pain, constipation, heartburn, or upper gastrointestinal discomfort may also occur. Moreover, hypersensitivity reactions such as itching or rashes may develop, and skin rashes may occur, but these symptoms usually disappear when antihistamines are used. Transient jaundice may appear; in this case, stopping the medication or using jaundice treatment medications may improve symptoms. Rarely, generalized malaise or dizziness may occur, so caution is advised. If symptoms do not improve or if unusual symptoms occur during prolonged use of this medication, it should be stopped immediately, and a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. It is important to keep this medication out of the reach of children. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant are advised not to use this medication due to reported risks to the fetus. Finally, this medication may increase the effectiveness of oral antidiabetic medications when taken together, so caution is needed when using them concurrently.
