Precautions

This medication should be stored out of reach of children, as large accidental doses can cause severe poisoning and death, especially in children under 6 years old. People who are allergic to any of the ingredients in this medication, infants under 12 months, and those with certain iron-related diseases should not take it. During the course of taking this medication, it is important not to take other medications such as phosphates, calcium supplements, oral tetracycline antibiotics, and antacids. Additionally, it is advisable to avoid drinks containing tannins, such as green tea and black tea, as well as milk and dairy products during or before and after taking this medication. Individuals receiving treatment from a doctor, those with gastrointestinal diseases, heart and kidney dysfunctions, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and those taking certain diuretics should consult a specialist before taking this medication. If allergic or serious side effects like skin rash, itching, difficulty breathing, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, altered consciousness, etc., occur during use, stop taking the medication immediately and consult medical personnel. This medication should be taken exactly as prescribed, and if symptoms do not improve or worsen after about one month of use, consult a doctor or pharmacist. Identifying the causes and types of anemia is essential; patients with pernicious anemia may not see improvements in neurological symptoms with folic acid alone and should take it with vitamin B12. Caution is necessary as taking this medication with more than 200 mg of vitamin C can increase iron absorption. Finally, store this medication in a cool place, away from direct sunlight and moisture, in a sealed container, and do not transfer it to other containers to prevent misuse or abuse.
