Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals allergic to salicylate components. Women within four weeks prior to their expected delivery date should also avoid using this medication. This medication should not be applied to mucous membranes or open wounds. Individuals with hypersensitivity to this medication's components should also avoid use. Newborns and children should avoid using this medication on extensive areas for prolonged periods, and must consult a professional prior to use. Patients with poor renal function should be cautious as this medication's components can be absorbed through the skin, potentially leading to toxicity. Pregnant women or those with a possibility of pregnancy should avoid prolonged use of this medication on large areas. Breastfeeding mothers should avoid using this medication on the breast area, as it may transfer to the baby through breast milk. If dermatitis or contact allergic symptoms occur during use, discontinue immediately and consult a professional. Increased serum salicylic acid concentrations may cause toxicity symptoms such as tinnitus, nosebleed, nausea, vomiting, itching, and skin dryness; therefore, caution is advised. The prescribed dosage and administration must be strictly adhered to, and supervision by a guardian is necessary when used in children. If symptoms do not improve after using for 5 to 6 days, discontinue use and consult with a physician or pharmacist. Applying this medication in high concentrations over large areas may enhance the toxicity of other medications, hence caution is required. There is an increased risk of bleeding when used concurrently with antidiabetic agents or anticoagulants. This medication is for topical application only and must not be taken orally. Care should be taken to avoid contact with the eyes; if contact occurs, rinse immediately with clean water and seek ophthalmological care if symptoms are severe. Avoid applying over too large an area. When storing, keep out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and store in a cool, dry place with the cap tightly closed. Do not transfer the medication from its original container to another; it must be stored in its original container to maintain quality.
