This medication is used in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with amlodipine or valsartan monotherapy. It effectively lowers blood pressure and helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dosage of this medication is one tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). Individual dosing adjustments are made depending on patients whose blood pressure is not controlled with amlodipine or valsartan monotherapy. Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy; therefore, if pregnancy is confirmed, administration should be discontinued immediately. Patients with hypersensitivity to this medication, pregnant or nursing women, patients with severe kidney or liver disease, and those with a history of specific heart disease or angioedema should not take this medication. Patients with sodium or fluid depletion should correct their state before taking this medication, and appropriate measures should be taken if symptoms of hypotension occur during use. Patients with hyperkalemia should be cautious when taking this medication with drugs that can raise potassium levels, and potassium levels should be monitored frequently. Patients with renal artery stenosis or kidney transplant recipients may experience changes in kidney function while taking this medication; therefore, careful observation is required. If symptoms of angioedema appear, discontinue use immediately and do not re-administer. Patients with heart failure or myocardial infarction should take this medication while regularly evaluating kidney function. The medication can be given to elderly patients at a standard dose; however, caution is advised as dizziness or fatigue may occur during driving or machine operation. Interactions may occur when this medication is used in conjunction with certain other medications, so if taking other medications, consulting with a physician or pharmacist is essential. Pregnant or nursing women are advised not to take this medication, and its safety and efficacy have not been established in children, so it is not recommended for this population. In cases of overdose, hypotension or severe cardiovascular problems may occur, so strict adherence to the dosing regimen is necessary and immediate medical consultation should be sought if unusual symptoms arise.
