The vitamin D included in this medication helps to prevent inadequate bone and dental development and prevents the occurrence of bone diseases such as rickets. In addition, it improves calcium deficiency, aiding in the maintenance of bone health. Therefore, the supply of vitamin D and calcium is effectively used to enhance bone health and prevent related diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults should take 1 tablet once daily.

Child dose

Children aged 8 years and older should take 1 tablet once daily.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia (too much calcium in the blood), sarcoidosis (an unknown cause systemic inflammatory disease), or those with kidney diseases. Additionally, individuals who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its components should avoid use. Infants under 12 months of age, patients with kidney stones, and those showing severe renal failure symptoms should also not take this medicine. While taking this medication, it is advisable to avoid concomitant use of phosphate, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, and antacids. Infants under 1 year, patients currently receiving treatment from a physician, children who receive adequate sunlight and normal meals, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, nursing mothers, premature infants, and infants should definitely consult a physician, dentist, or pharmacist before taking this drug. This is because vitamin D can be transmitted to infants through breast milk, potentially causing hypercalcemia. Those with heart or circulatory diseases, kidney disorders, hypoproteinemia, or who are taking cardiac glycosides should also exercise caution. Consultation is needed for individuals with a history of kidney stones. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, low blood pressure, facial flushing, irregular heartbeats, skin rashes, etc., occur while taking this medication, stop taking it immediately and consult a physician. Furthermore, overdose may lead to gastrointestinal disturbances, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, and edema, and long-term use may cause hypercalcemia or nephrolithiasis. If symptoms have not improved after about a month of use, consult a physician. This medication must be taken according to the prescribed dosage and directions, and when administered to children, supervision by a guardian is necessary. It is advisable to avoid teas containing tannins, such as green tea or black tea, before and after taking this medication. For storage, keep this medication in a sealed container to prevent air entry, and it is best to store it at a temperature between 1 degree and 30 degrees Celsius. This way of storage will help maintain the effectiveness of the medication.
