Improvement of gastric and duodenal ulcers and gastritis (excessive gastric acid, heartburn, etc.)
This medication is effective for various gastrointestinal disorders such as gastric and duodenal ulcers and gastritis. It also helps alleviate symptoms such as heartburn and indigestion due to excessive gastric acid secretion. It improves gastrointestinal discomforts such as nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain, allowing patients to maintain a more comfortable state. Overall, this medication is used to relieve various symptoms related to gastric acid regulation.
For adults, the dosage of Almagate is 1 g three times a day, taken orally by chewing 30 minutes to 1 hour after meals. An additional dose can be taken at bedtime if necessary.
For children aged 12 years and older, the dosage of Almagate is 1 g three times a day, taken orally by chewing 30 minutes to 1 hour after meals. An additional dose can be taken at bedtime if necessary.
This medication should not be taken by individuals who are hypersensitive to this drug or its ingredients. Patients with Alzheimer's disease, hemorrhoids, or fluid retention should also avoid this medication. Patients with pregnancy-induced hypertension, diarrhea, or unexplained gastrointestinal bleeding should not use this medication. It is advisable not to take this drug together with tetracycline antibiotics during the course of treatment. Because this drug may affect the absorption or excretion of other medications, individuals taking other medications must consult with their doctor or pharmacist. In particular, patients with poor kidney function are at risk of accumulation of magnesium or aluminum contained in this drug in their bodies. Additionally, individuals with weakened bodies, insufficient phosphorus intake, or malabsorption disorders should take caution as long-term use may affect bone health. Elderly patients, those with gastrointestinal bleeding symptoms, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, and nursing mothers should consult with a specialist before use. If constipation or diarrhea occurs during use or if symptoms do not improve after two weeks, the medication should be discontinued immediately and a specialist consulted. The prescribed dosage and administration must be strictly followed, and when given to children, it should be administered under the supervision of a guardian. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children and stored in its original container, sealed, away from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place.
