This medication may pose a risk of liver damage for those who regularly consume more than three alcoholic beverages per day, and consultation with a physician or pharmacist is necessary. As it contains acetaminophen, there is a rare risk of serious skin reactions; skin rashes or hypersensitivity should lead to immediate discontinuation of use. Tramadol, one of its active ingredients, can increase the risk of seizures; care should be taken for individuals with a history of seizures or those taking medications that can induce seizures. Concomitant use of tramadol with certain antidepressants or opioid analgesics can further increase seizure risk. In patients with acute bronchial asthma, respiratory suppression can pose life-threatening risks, so administration should only be in settings equipped for such emergencies. This medication can cause severe drowsiness, respiratory depression, or coma when used with alcohol or central nervous system depressants, requiring careful administration and possibly avoidance. Caution is necessary for patients with elevated intracranial pressure or head injuries due to potential worsening of symptoms from respiratory depression. Tramadol can lead to psychological and physical dependence, so regular observation for dependence is essential in long-term use. Patients with impaired liver function are at risk of liver damage from acetaminophen, thus should consult a doctor before use. Especially for ultra-rapid CYP2D6 metabolizers, there is a possibility of a rapid increase in the active metabolite that may cause serious side effects such as respiratory depression, necessitating monitoring and dose adjustments. This medication should not be given to children under 12 years of age or to adolescents under 18 years who have undergone tonsillectomy or adenoidectomy. This medication may exacerbate sleep apnea; if symptoms are present or suspected, dose reduction or discontinuation should be considered. Elderly patients or those at risk for hyponatremia should be regularly monitored for the occurrence of hyponatremia. This medication is contraindicated or requires cautious use in patients with certain disorders or who are taking specific medications, and consultation with healthcare professionals is required before use. Drowsiness or dizziness may occur during use, so care should be taken when driving or operating machinery. In cases of overdose, serious respiratory depression, seizures, and liver damage can occur; thus, it is vital to adhere to prescribed doses and seek immediate medical attention for unusual symptoms. This medication must be stored out of reach of children and managed carefully to prevent misuse or abuse by others.
