Precautions

This medication can lower blood pressure, so it must not be taken with nitrate preparations or NO donors, as this could risk causing excessively low blood pressure; consult a doctor before use. Patients with cardiovascular diseases must ensure sufficient assessment of their heart condition before taking this medication; if the cardiovascular status is poor, sexual activity itself may be risky, and use should be avoided. This medication can dilate blood vessels and temporarily lower blood pressure; therefore, patients with cardiovascular diseases should exercise caution during sexual activity. Patients with any history of serious arrhythmias, heart failure, angina, stroke, myocardial infarction, or hypotension or hypertension within the past six months, as well as patients with pigmentary retinopathy, should avoid this medication as its safety and efficacy have not been established. If an erection lasts longer than 4 hours after taking this medication, immediate medical assistance should be sought, as untreated situations can lead to penile tissue damage and loss of erectile function. Patients taking certain medications such as Ritonavir may experience a significant increase in the blood concentration of this drug, requiring dose adjustments, and those with aspartame components should not take it if they have phenylketonuria. This medication should not be used by children under 18 or females, and elderly patients or those with liver or kidney failure should start with a lower dose for safety. Side effects such as headache, flushing, indigestion, dizziness, visual disturbances, etc., may occur during use; if severe abnormal symptoms arise, consult a doctor immediately. Caution should be exercised while driving or operating machinery due to possible visual disturbances or dizziness. Interactions may occur when combined with other erectile dysfunction medications or certain cardiovascular drugs, so it is crucial to inform the doctor about any current medications being taken. This medication does not prevent sexually transmitted diseases, so additional precautionary measures should be taken for safe sexual activity.
