Precautions

This medicine may cause liver damage in those who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol daily, so consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is essential. If a rash or other allergic reactions appear on the skin while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and inform your doctor. Due to the presence of tramadol, exceeding the recommended dose may increase the risk of seizures, especially when taken with certain antidepressants or other narcotics. Rarely, severe allergic reactions may occur when taking this medicine, and patients should inform medical personnel immediately if symptoms develop. Patients with acute and severe bronchial asthma may be at risk for respiratory depression when taking this medicine and should only be administered in an environment equipped for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Caution should be exercised when taking this medicine with alcohol or benzodiazepines, as it may cause severe sedation, respiratory depression, or coma. Patients with head injuries or brain diseases need to be cautious as respiratory depression may worsen symptoms when taking this medicine. This medication may cause dependence similar to morphine; therefore, careful observation for dependence and potential abuse is required with long-term use. Patients with impaired liver function should consult a doctor before taking this medicine and avoid taking it alongside other products containing acetaminophen. Patients with certain genotypes may have accelerated metabolism of this medication, increasing the risk of respiratory depression, and dosage adjustment or alternative medications may need to be considered in these cases. This medication is not recommended for children under 12 years or adolescents under 18 years who have undergone tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. Elderly patients should be closely monitored as they may have decreased liver, kidney, or heart function when using this medication. Women who are pregnant or might become pregnant should carefully consider the risks and benefits of using this medication, and breastfeeding women are recommended not to use it. Drowsiness or dizziness may occur while taking this medication, so caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. Overdose can lead to serious side effects such as respiratory depression and liver damage, so the recommended dose must be adhered to, and immediate emergency treatment should be sought if overdose is suspected. This medication may interact with various drugs, so patients must inform medical personnel if they are taking other medications and be especially cautious when taken with central nervous system depressants or antidepressants.
