Precautions

This medication should not be taken with nitrate drugs or NO donors that lower blood pressure, as it may cause a significant drop in blood pressure. If you are currently taking such medications, consult a physician. Patients with cardiovascular disease should ensure their heart condition is adequately checked before taking this medication, and sexual activity that may burden the heart is not recommended. This medication can dilate blood vessels and temporarily lower blood pressure, necessitating caution for patients with cardiovascular disease or unstable blood pressure. Patients who have had heart or cerebrovascular disease in the last six months, those with hypotension or uncontrolled hypertension, and patients with pigmentary retinopathy should not use this medication. If an erection lasts longer than 4 hours, medical attention should be sought immediately, as failure to treat may result in permanent damage. Co-administration with certain medications like ritonavir can significantly increase the blood concentration of this drug, requiring dose adjustment. The artificial sweetener aspartame in this medication is unsuitable for patients with phenylketonuria. Pregnant women or individuals under 18 years of age, including females, should not use this medication. Elderly patients or those with impaired liver or kidney function should start at a lower dose initially for safety. This medication may cause side effects such as headache, flushing, dyspepsia, visual disturbances, and dizziness, and if symptoms are severe, consultation with a physician is advised. Caution is also advised when driving or operating machinery, as visual disturbances or dizziness may occur. This medication should not be used with other erectile dysfunction treatments, and caution is required when taken with alpha-blockers due to the risk of hypotension; a time interval between doses should be maintained. Overdose may exacerbate symptoms, so the recommended dosage must be adhered to, and in case of overdose, immediate contact with a healthcare facility is necessary. Keep out of reach of children and do not transfer to other containers.
