How to take

Adult dose

Adults and children over 8 years: 1 time a day, 2 tablets per dose. Dissolve in the mouth or chew before swallowing.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia (excessive calcium in the blood), sarcoidosis (systemic inflammatory disease of unknown cause), or those with kidney disease. Additionally, individuals with allergic reactions to this drug or its components should avoid using it. Infants under 12 months, patients with kidney stones, and those with severe renal failure should also avoid this medication. It is advisable not to take this medication with phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, or antacids. Babies under 1 year, patients currently treated by a doctor, children who receive ample sunlight and normal meals, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, breastfeeding mothers, preterm infants, and infants should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use due to potential hypercalcemia in newborns linked to vitamin D in breast milk. Overdose may lead to serious symptoms such as gastrointestinal symptoms, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, and edema, so caution is required. Long-term use may pose a risk of hypercalcemia or stone formation, necessitating regular check-ups. Furthermore, care should be taken when taking with certain diuretics due to the risk of hyperkalemia. If this medication is taken incorrectly or symptoms do not improve after a month, always consult a professional. Adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage and administration, and parental supervision is required when administering to children. It is advisable to avoid teas containing tannins, such as green tea or black tea, before and after taking this medication.
