This medication is used to treat various skin problems, including eczema, contact dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, photodermatitis, chronic simple dermatitis, intertrigo, exfoliative dermatitis, itching, and psoriasis that are associated with secondary infections of allergic or inflammatory skin diseases. It is also effective for first-degree burns. It helps in the treatment of these skin diseases and wounds, improving skin condition.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area (site of disease) 1 to 3 times a day.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with bacterial, fungal, viral, or animal skin infections as it may worsen symptoms. Individuals allergic to this medication or its ingredients should not use it. It should be avoided in patients with perforations in the eardrum or in areas with severe burns or ulcers. Patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, or rosacea should avoid using this medication. Individuals allergic to aminoglycoside antibiotics must consult a doctor before using this medication. Patients with hypersensitivity or allergic history to propylene glycol should use it cautiously. Pregnant or breastfeeding women, and children or adolescents must consult a specialist before using this medication. If any unusual symptoms such as infections, rashes, itching, pain, or redness occur during use, stop using it immediately and consult a specialist. Long-term or extensive use can lead to side effects such as skin atrophy, vasodilation, and pigmentation changes, so caution is necessary. When used broadly or in occlusive dressings, systemic side effects may occur, requiring regular check-ups. Due to higher absorption relative to body surface area in children, the risk of side effects is greater, thus only a minimal amount should be used under supervision of guardians. If there is no therapeutic effect or symptoms worsen, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. This medication can increase intraocular pressure or pose a risk of glaucoma if used around the eyes, so care should be taken to avoid contact with eyes. This medication is not for ophthalmic use, and it is safer not to use it for purposes other than treatment, such as after makeup or shaving. When using occlusive dressings, it must be done according to the doctor's instructions and the affected area should be cleaned beforehand to reduce the risk of infection. Keep this medication out of reach of children and store it tightly closed in its original container.
