Prevention of asthma and relief of allergy rhinitis symptoms
This medication helps prevent and continuously treat asthma. It is also used to alleviate symptoms of seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis. Therefore, it is effective in improving respiratory diseases and allergy symptoms.
This medication is taken once daily, and asthmatic patients should take it in the evening. For allergic rhinitis patients, the dosing time is determined according to the patient's condition. Patients with both asthma and allergic rhinitis should take 1 tablet in the evening, once daily. This medication is administered one hour before meals or two hours after meals.
Children aged 2 to 5 years should chew and take 4 mg of montelukast once daily. This medication is administered one hour before meals or two hours after meals.
This medication is used to treat respiratory disorders such as asthma or allergic rhinitis. During the use of this medication, there may be abnormalities in the neuropsychiatric system, so if symptoms such as agitation, anxiety, depression, hallucinations, or suicidal thoughts occur, consult a doctor immediately. This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, so patients with the genetic disorder phenylketonuria should avoid taking it. Patients with a history of allergic reactions to this medication should not use it, and side effects may include headache, abdominal pain, rash, cough, and nasal congestion. In the case of an acute asthma attack, this medication is not to be used as an immediate treatment; therefore, always have an emergency inhaler available. Patients who are hypersensitive to aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should avoid the use of these medications while taking this medication. Although the incidence of side effects does not change significantly with long-term use, rare side effects such as eosinophilia may occur, necessitating doctor's observation. No specific interactions have been reported when taken with other medications, but monitoring may be required according to a doctor's instructions when taken with certain drugs. It should only be used during pregnancy when absolutely necessary, and care should also be taken during breastfeeding. It can be used in children and the elderly, but appropriate dosage and usage methods according to age should be followed. In case of overdose, there is no specific antidote, so it is important to receive general treatment according to symptoms. This medication is sensitive to light, so do not open the package until ready for use, and take it immediately after preparation. Keep out of reach of children, and avoid transferring it into other containers. This medication must be taken consistently even if symptoms are absent, and if symptoms worsen or abnormal symptoms arise during use, consult a doctor.
