It is important to adequately supply vitamin D during pregnancy, breastfeeding, growth periods, and in old age. The vitamin D contained in this medication helps promote healthy development of bones and teeth and is especially effective in preventing rickets. Therefore, it is used to improve bone and teeth development deficiencies and to prevent rickets.

How to take

Adult dose

For those aged 12 and older and adults, take 1 capsule once daily.

Child dose

There is no information regarding the dosage for children under 12 years.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia, sarcoidosis, or renal disease. Additionally, individuals allergic to this medication or its ingredients, infants under 12 months of age, patients with kidney stones, severe renal failure patients, and those allergic to soybean oil, soy, or peanuts should not take this medication. It is important not to take this medication with phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, or antacids during treatment. Children under 1 year of age, individuals receiving treatment from a doctor, children exposed to a lot of sunlight and having a normal diet, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, breastfeeding mothers, premature infants, and babies should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Individuals with heart or circulatory issues, renal disorders, hypoproteinemia, those taking cardiac glycosides, a history of kidney stones, hyperlipidemia, diabetes-related dyslipidemia, or abnormalities in fat metabolism such as pancreatitis should also consult with a specialist. This medication contains a dye called Yellow No. 5, so those allergic to this dye should also be cautious. While taking this medication, if symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, hypotension, facial flushing, irregular heartbeat, skin rash, red spots, abnormal heartbeats, or central nervous system depression occur, immediately stop taking the medication and consult a physician. In case of overdose, gastrointestinal disorders, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, edema, etc., may occur, and long-term use may lead to hypercalcemia or stone formation, so caution is needed. Particularly, caution is needed when taken in conjunction with aldosterone antagonists or triamterene due to the risk of hyperkalemia. Adhere to the recommended dosage, and administer to children under the supervision of a guardian. It is advisable to avoid teas containing tannins, such as green tea or black tea, before and after taking the medication. Patients at risk for lipid overload should monitor blood lipid levels and adjust the dosage as necessary. If using with other lipid preparations, consider total fat intake. Keep this medication out of reach of children, store in a sealed container away from direct sunlight, and in a cool, dry place. To maintain quality, it is crucial not to transfer it to another container.
