This medication is used for inflammatory joint diseases such as chronic polyarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, arthrosis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It also helps alleviate pain, swelling, and inflammation that occur after trauma or surgery. It is used as an adjunct in the treatment of infections accompanied by inflammation, pain, and fever. It is effective for various inflammation-related diseases and symptoms, helping to improve the patient's pain and inflammation.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Administer 300 mg of dexibuprofen orally, 2 to 4 times a day. Do not exceed 1,200 mg of dexibuprofen in a day.

Precautions

Those who regularly consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks per day must consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. This is because taking this medicine may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Special caution should be taken by individuals with a history of cardiovascular disease or risk factors, due to the possibility of serious thrombotic reactions such as myocardial infarction or stroke. This medication may cause serious abdominal issues such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations, particularly at greater risk in the elderly. Therefore, if gastrointestinal symptoms occur, consult a doctor immediately. Those with a history of gastric ulcers, bleeding, severe liver or kidney impairment, heart failure, hypertension, or allergies to aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should not take this medication. Concurrent use with aspirin, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and high-dose methotrexate may increase the risk of side effects, so it is advisable not to combine them. Breastfeeding should be avoided while taking this medication, and care should be taken when driving or operating machinery as dizziness or fatigue may occur. Individuals with blood abnormalities, liver or kidney diseases, hypertension, heart failure, or a history of allergies should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If serious symptoms such as shock, severe skin rash, difficulty breathing, blood abnormalities, liver function abnormalities, or kidney issues occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult medical staff. This medication should be used at the minimum effective dose and for the shortest duration possible, and regular blood tests as well as liver and kidney function tests are important. During pregnancy, especially after 6 months, it may be harmful to the fetus, so its use should be avoided, and women who plan to become pregnant or may be pregnant should also consult before use. In case of overdose, even without symptoms, immediate treatment at a medical facility is required, and the medication should be kept out of reach of children, protected from direct sunlight, and stored in a cool, dry place.

Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take this medication with aspirin, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and high-dose methotrexate (15 mg/week or more) used in cancer therapy. Corticosteroids, alcohol, digoxin, phenytoin, probenecid, sulfinpyrazone, sulfonylureas, ACE inhibitors, angiotensin II receptor antagonists, diuretics, lithium, coumarin anticoagulants (warfarin, etc.), baclofen, and immunosuppressants (cyclosporine) may interact as well.

Storage

This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to protect it from air and moisture, ideally at room temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius. This way, the effectiveness of the medication can be well maintained.
