Dosage

Apply 0.025 mg of triamcinolone acetonide to the affected area (site of disease) once, 1 to 2 times a day, attaching the white side to the mucosa of the affected area (site of disease). Adjust appropriately according to age and symptoms.

Precautions

This medication should not be administered to patients with hypersensitivity. Additionally, since this medication contains lactose, patients with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not use it. This medication contains a dye called Yellow No. 5, so patients with allergies or hypersensitivity to this component should use it cautiously. During use, a fungal infection known as candidiasis may develop; if such symptoms appear, use of this medication should be discontinued immediately and appropriate antifungal treatment should be sought. In principle, this medication is not recommended for use when there is an infection in the mouth, but if it is absolutely necessary to use it, it is advisable to treat with an antibacterial or antifungal agent in advance. It can be very dangerous if the patient contracts chickenpox or measles while using this medication, so it is essential to check whether the patient has had chickenpox or measles or has been vaccinated before administration. If the patient has never had chickenpox or measles, extra caution should be taken to avoid infection, and if there is suspicion of infection or if infection occurs, medical attention should be sought immediately. In elderly patients, physical function may be reduced, so careful observation of the condition is necessary during use. This medication is designed to be applied to the mucous membrane of the mouth and should not be swallowed. When using it, moisten the tip of your finger with saliva and place the fingertip on the colored side of the medication to attach it, ensuring that the white side touches the affected mucosa and gently press it for 2-3 seconds. Be careful as the medication may not adhere well to the mucosa if it becomes wet with saliva; if the affected area is very wet with saliva, it should be lightly wiped with gauze before applying. When used by children or minors, care should be taken to ensure that the attached medication is not removed with their fingers.
