Precautions

This medication should be stored out of reach of children as accidental overdose in children under 6 years of age can lead to severe poisoning or death. It should not be taken by individuals allergic to this medication, infants under 12 months, or those with specific iron metabolism disorders. Patients with anemia due to vitamin B12 deficiency or individuals with lactose intolerance should also avoid taking this medication. During the course of this medication, avoid taking it with phosphates, calcium salts, tetracycline antibiotics, and antacids, as these can decrease the effectiveness of the drug. It is advisable to avoid tannin-containing teas like green tea or black tea, as well as milk and dairy products before and after taking it. If you are receiving treatment from a doctor, have peptic ulcers, chronic colitis, heart or kidney diseases, are a patient with hypoproteinemia, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a healthcare professional before use. If any abnormal symptoms such as skin rash, itching, difficulty breathing, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, or coma occur while taking this medication, stop taking it immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. It is essential to adhere to the prescribed dosage and frequency, and if symptoms do not improve after taking for more than a month, consult a professional. Before starting this medication for anemia, it is important to first determine the cause and type of anemia. Folic acid contained in this medication should be taken with vitamin B12 for patients with pernicious anemia, and taking vitamin C at doses over 200 mg may enhance iron absorption. When storing, keep it in a well-closed container in a cool place away from direct sunlight and moisture, and in a secure location out of reach of children. Do not transfer the medication to another container and be cautious not to misuse or abuse it.
