Treatment of skin fungus (athlete's foot, body tinea, etc.) and tinea versicolor, candidiasis.
This medicine is effective in treating athlete's foot, tinea corporis, and tinea cruris caused by dermatophytes such as Trichophyton, Microsporum, Epidermophyton, and is also effectively used against tinea versicolor caused by Pityrosporum orbiculare and skin candidiasis.
Apply to the affected area (site of the disease) 1 to 2 times a day. For athlete's foot, intertriginous type, use twice daily for 1 week; plantar type, twice daily for 2 weeks. For tinea corporis and tinea cruris, use once daily for 1 to 2 weeks. For skin candidiasis, use once daily for 1 to 2 weeks. For tinea versicolor, use once daily for 2 weeks.
This medication should not be used by those who are allergic to this drug or have previously experienced hypersensitivity reactions to it. It is also safer for pregnant or potentially pregnant women, as well as nursing mothers, to avoid using this medication. It is recommended not to use this medication in children. If a rash or any allergic reaction appears while using this drug, or if there is severe irritation of the skin, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. If symptoms such as hives, red spots, itching, irritation, dermatitis, skin peeling, scab formation, pigmentation changes, sharp pain, or burning sensations occur, stop using this drug and consult a specialist. It is important not to use this drug with sealed bandages or wrappings without a doctor's instruction. If symptoms do not improve despite using this medication, one should get tested for fungal infections to consider other treatment options. For candidiasis infections, avoiding acidic soaps is recommended. When applying to intact skin, the absorption of this drug into the body is likely low, but caution should be taken when applied to wound areas or larger surfaces, especially in infants, as systemic effects may occur. If this medication is accidentally ingested, it is important to first use activated charcoal to eliminate the active ingredient and seek appropriate treatment if necessary. This medication is for external use only and should be kept out of the eyes. If it gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water immediately, as eye irritation or worsening of fungal infections may occur. It is advisable not to use this drug on nails, the scalp, around the mouth, or in the genital area. Animal studies have reported slight phototoxicity with this drug, so it is recommended to avoid excessive sun exposure. Keep this drug out of the reach of children and store it tightly sealed in its original container. Transferring it to another container may increase the risk of misuse and compromise drug quality, so care should be taken.
