This medication is used for the treatment of hypertrophic and keloid scars resulting from surgery, cuts, burns, or accidents, as well as wounds and scars associated with limited mobility or cosmetic skin damage. It is also effective for traumatic contracture, which is the persistent contraction of muscles or tissues occurring after a wound, and cicatricial stenosis, a condition where tissue narrows due to scarring. It is utilized to improve various issues related to skin damage and scarring.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Massage lightly several times a day until the medication is sufficiently absorbed into the wound area. In cases of severe wounds or old scars, secure with a dressing and leave it on overnight.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals allergic to methylparaben or any of its other components. Pregnant women are advised not to use this medication. Do not apply this medication to open wounds or newly sutured areas, or to areas with oozing wounds. Breastfeeding women should consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. Long-term use of this medication may lead to tolerance, so caution is advised. During use, skin irritation such as itching or hypersensitivity may occur, so attention should be paid if symptoms develop. The wounded area should be protected from exposure to sunlight or strong light, and particularly newly formed wounds should also avoid physical stimuli such as cold or strong massage. When used in children, a guardian should supervise the application. This medication should be stored out of reach of children.
