Treatment of allergic and inflammatory skin diseases (eczema, contact dermatitis, etc.) and first-degree burns
This medication is used for skin conditions such as allergic or inflammatory skin diseases with secondary infection, including eczema, contact dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, photodermatitis, chronic simple lichen, scratch dermatitis, exfoliative dermatitis, and for symptoms like itching, psoriasis, and treatment of first-degree burns.
Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area 1 to 3 times a day.
This medication should not be used in patients with specific bacterial, fungal, viral, or animal skin infections as it may worsen symptoms. Patients with hypersensitivity to this drug or a history of allergic reactions should avoid its use. Patients with eczematous otitis externa with perforation of the tympanic membrane should use this medication with caution as healing may be delayed. It is advisable not to use in patients with ulcers, severe burns or frostbite as skin regeneration may be inhibited, leading to delayed healing. Avoid use in cases of perioral dermatitis, common acne, and rosacea. Those allergic to aminoglycoside antibiotics or bacitracin should exercise caution as cross-reactivity may occur. Women who are pregnant or potentially pregnant, nursing mothers, and children or infants should consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. If during use symptoms of skin infection, irritation, rash, itching, or redness occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. Long-term use may result in skin thinning, pigment changes, and acne-like rashes, necessitating a reduction in dosage or a switch to another medication. This medication should be used with caution when used in conjunction with occlusive dressings for extended periods as systemic effects may arise, and regular check-ups are recommended. Care should be taken when used around the eyes due to the risk of increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma. Overuse or prolonged use of this medication may lead to adrenal insufficiency, Cushing's syndrome, and other systemic side effects, so caution is advised. Pregnant or nursing women should use it only minimally when necessary as its safety has not been established, and careful consideration should be given to whether to continue nursing while administering this medication. Children are more susceptible to side effects than adults, so it should only be used in minimal amounts under guardian supervision. When using diapers, the occlusive dressing effect may increase the risk of side effects, so caution is essential. This medication should not be used for ocular purposes and should not be used for any purpose other than treatment after makeup or shaving. When using occlusive dressings, it should only be done under medical supervision and the affected area should be kept clean. Store out of reach of children and keep the drug in its original container to prevent misuse or degradation.
