Precautions

People who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol daily should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. This is due to the risk of liver damage if alcohol is frequently consumed while taking this medication. This medication contains acetaminophen, and taking it with other acetaminophen-containing drugs can exceed the maximum daily dose of 4,000mg. In this case, there is a risk of liver damage; therefore, it should not be taken with other acetaminophen products. This medication should not be taken by individuals allergic to chlorzoxazone or acetaminophen, or who have previously experienced adverse reactions such as skin rashes, redness, itching, or swelling due to this medication. Those who have had asthma symptoms triggered by this medication or other cold medicines or antipyretic analgesics should also avoid taking it. If symptoms such as hives, swelling, chest tightness, pale face, cold hands and feet, cold sweat, or shortness of breath occur while taking this medication, it should be stopped immediately, and a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. Additionally, if there are severe symptoms such as high fever coupled with skin rashes, redness, blisters affecting large areas of skin, or mucous membranes of the mouth or eyes, or if asthma symptoms arise, immediate professional assistance is required. Taking barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants, or alcohol together can slow the breakdown of acetaminophen, leading to prolonged effects in the body. Alcohol can particularly increase toxicity to the liver, so caution is required. Patients with severe liver or kidney disease or those with allergic histories should use this medication with more caution. If hypersensitivity reactions such as hives, redness, or itching occur while taking this medication, it should be stopped immediately. Rarely, severe allergic reactions such as petechiae, angioedema, or anaphylaxis may occur, so caution is needed. If symptoms of impaired liver function appear, stop taking this medication and consult a doctor. Symptoms may include gastrointestinal disturbances, bleeding, drowsiness, dizziness, headache, or excessive excitement, so caution is necessary. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication if the benefits outweigh the risks, as its safety during pregnancy is not certain. Caution should be exercised when taking this medication with alcohol or central nervous system depressants, as interactions can cause side effects. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, in a tightly closed container, away from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place. It is also important not to transfer it to other containers to maintain its quality.
