Precautions

This medication may cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Patients who are allergic to this medication or have certain kidney dysfunction, liver disease, or electrolyte imbalances should not take it. Patients with specific conditions such as hypotension, kidney problems, liver disease, diabetes, gout, the elderly, etc., need to use this medication with caution. Various side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, skin rash, cough, and dyspepsia may occur during use, so consult a doctor if any unusual symptoms arise. This medication may affect potassium levels, so caution is advised against taking potassium supplements or potassium-containing medications at the same time. Additionally, grapefruit juice may reduce its efficacy, so it is best to avoid consuming grapefruit juice. As this medication acts to lower blood pressure, dizziness or symptoms of hypotension may occur when beginning treatment or changing the dosage, so caution is required. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant must consult a physician, and those who are breastfeeding should also consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. This medication is not recommended for children and adolescents, and elderly patients should be carefully monitored due to a higher likelihood of side effects.
