Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus, especially if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. Therefore, if pregnancy is confirmed, it should be discontinued immediately. This medication should not be administered to patients with allergies to it or those with certain kidney diseases, liver diseases, or electrolyte imbalances. Exercise caution when prescribing to patients with a history of hypotension, decreased kidney function, liver dysfunction, gout, hypercalcemia, and similar conditions. During use, blood pressure may drop too low, so if symptoms such as dizziness or fainting occur, consult a physician. This medication may affect serum potassium levels, and potassium supplements or potassium-rich foods should not be taken arbitrarily. Due to the presence of hydrochlorothiazide, electrolyte imbalances, hypotension, or dehydration symptoms may occur, thus regular blood tests and monitoring of symptoms are necessary. This medication may increase the risk of skin cancer when exposed to sunlight, so precautions such as using sunscreen and carefully observing skin conditions while outdoors are advised. Dizziness or drowsiness may occur during driving or operating machinery, so caution is required. Because this medication may interact with other drugs, inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medications, particularly diuretics, potassium-sparing agents, or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. This medication is not indicated for use in children or adolescents, and older adults should use it cautiously as adverse effects may occur more frequently. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult with a physician prior to use, and it is advised to avoid use while breastfeeding. In case of suspected overdose, which may lead to hypotension or cardiac rhythm anomalies, visit a medical institution immediately.
