Adult dose
This medication can be taken with or without food, but it is recommended to take it at the same time every day. For the treatment of hypertension, the initial and maintenance dose is recommended as 50 mg once daily of Losartan Potassium. If the therapeutic effect is insufficient, the dose can be divided and taken twice a day or increased up to 100 mg once daily if necessary. For treating kidney disease in patients with hypertension and type 2 diabetes, the usual dose is 1 daily.
Child dose

This medication is used to stabilize blood pressure in patients with hypertension. Additionally, in patients with type 2 diabetes who have hypertension and kidney disease, it helps protect kidney function and slows the progression of kidney disease. Therefore, it is effective in improving kidney issues caused by hypertension and diabetes.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication can be taken with or without food, but it is recommended to take it at the same time every day. For the treatment of hypertension, the initial and maintenance dose is recommended as 50 mg once daily of Losartan Potassium. The maximum blood pressure-lowering effect appears 3 to 6 weeks after starting treatment. Precautions

Grapefruit juice may reduce the effectiveness of this medication, so it is advisable to avoid grapefruit juice while taking this medication. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should preferably avoid using this medication, and if it must be used, consultation with a healthcare professional is necessary. This medication is not to be used in children under the age of 6 or in children with severely impaired kidney function.
