This medication is used for various conditions related to gastric and duodenal ulcers, anastomotic ulcers, and upper gastrointestinal bleeding. It is also effective for gastroesophageal reflux disease and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, as well as for improving gastric mucosal lesions such as erosion, bleeding, redness, and swelling during acute exacerbations of both acute and chronic gastritis. In summary, it is used for various ulcer and inflammatory conditions of the digestive tract to treat damage to the gastric mucosa and improve symptoms.

How to take

Adult dose

1. Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with allergies to specific ingredients or H2 receptor antagonists. Additionally, patients with genetically determined lactose intolerance or related enzyme deficiencies should not take this medication. Patients with a history of allergic reactions to medications should use this medication with caution. Patients with impaired kidney function may require dosage adjustments or extended intervals between doses due to increased drug concentration. Patients with cardiovascular diseases should be cautious due to the risk of cardiovascular side effects. Patients with liver function issues should also be careful as symptoms may worsen. Elderly patients are more likely to have impaired kidney function and should use this medication cautiously. This medication dissolves in the mouth but is not absorbed through the mucosa; therefore, it must be swallowed with water. Renal dialysis patients should be cautious as co-administration with other medications may reduce effectiveness. Concomitant use with certain antifungals or specific anticancer drugs may reduce the effectiveness of this medication or other drugs, so consultation with a healthcare professional is recommended before use. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully consider the benefits and risks of taking this medication, while breastfeeding mothers are advised to discontinue breastfeeding as the drug may be transmitted through breast milk. The safety of this medication has not been adequately established for children, so its use should be avoided. Lastly, this medication may obscure symptoms of stomach cancer, so it is advised to confirm that the condition is non-malignant before use.
