How to take

Adult dose

Children aged 12 and older and adults: take 1 tablet at a time, once a day

Precautions

This medicine should be used with caution as administering more than 5,000 IU of vitamin A per day to women in their first three months of pregnancy or who may become pregnant can increase the risk of congenital malformations. Children, especially those under the age of 6, are at significant risk of poisoning if they ingest excessive amounts of iron-containing preparations, so these should be kept out of reach of children. Patients with certain diseases such as hypercalcemia, sarcoidosis, and kidney diseases should not take this medicine, and those allergic to this medicine or its ingredients should also avoid it. It is also safe for infants under 12 months, patients with hyperkalemia, Wilson's disease, hemochromatosis, and those with kidney stones not to take this medicine. While taking this medicine, it should not be combined with medications such as phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline drugs, antacids, and levodopa. Patients receiving treatment from a physician, children exposed to sunlight, pregnant or potentially pregnant women, nursing mothers, and patients with certain gastrointestinal, heart, or kidney conditions should consult a specialist before taking this medicine. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, skin rash, respiratory difficulties, or irregular heartbeat occur during use, it is essential to stop taking it immediately and consult a healthcare provider. Long-term high-dose use can lead to tolerance or side effects such as neuropathy, liver damage, and hypercalcemia, so it is crucial to adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage and regimen. This medicine can provide sufficient vitamin A through a normal diet, so if used as an adjunctive therapy, care should be taken not to exceed 5,000 IU per day. During treatment, it is preferable to avoid consuming tannin-containing teas such as green or black tea, as this may affect blood sugar test results, and it is necessary to inform the testing personnel about the medication taken prior to tests.
