This medication is used for allergic or inflammatory skin diseases accompanied by secondary infections. This includes eczema, contact dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, photodermatitis, chronic simple lichen, excoriation, exfoliative dermatitis, itching, and psoriasis (dry scaly skin). It is also effective for the treatment of first-degree burns. This medication alleviates skin inflammation and itching, helps heal the infected area, and improves symptoms. Therefore, it is widely used for various skin diseases and minor burns.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area (site of disease) 1 to 3 times a day.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with bacterial, fungal, viral, or animal skin infections, as it may worsen symptoms. Also, individuals with hypersensitivity to this drug or any of its components or a history of such reactions should avoid using it. Patients with otitis externa with perforated eardrum, ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite should also avoid using this medication as healing may be delayed. Patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, or rosacea should avoid the use of this drug. Patients with hypersensitivity to certain antibiotics may experience cross-allergic reactions, so it is safer for them not to use this medication. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, nursing mothers, children, and those allergic to propylene glycol should consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. If any abnormal reactions such as skin infection symptoms, irritation, rash, itching, or skin discoloration occur during use, stop using immediately and consult a specialist. Prolonged or extensive use can lead to systemic side effects, so the duration and area of use should be limited, and regular check-ups are necessary. Particularly when used around the eyes, caution is advised due to the risk of glaucoma or cataracts. This medication must be used according to the prescribed dosage and administration and should be used under the supervision of a guardian for children. If symptoms improve, it is advised to discontinue use as soon as possible without prolonged use. When using methods like occlusive dressings, the risk of infection increases, so it should be used according to a doctor's instructions. This medication should not be used for ophthalmic purposes or in situations not intended for treatment, such as after makeup or shaving. Keep out of reach of children and store in its original container to maintain quality.
