Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with certain bacterial, fungal, viral, or animal skin infections. Those with allergies or a history of hypersensitivity to this medication or its ingredients should also avoid use. Patients with eczema-related otitis externa who have a perforated eardrum should be cautious, as the healing may be delayed with this medication. It is advisable not to use it in patients with ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite, as skin regeneration may be inhibited, leading to delayed healing. Patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, or rosacea should also avoid using this medication. Those allergic to aminoglycoside antibiotics or bacitracin should not use this medication. Patients with allergies or a history of hypersensitivity to propylene glycol should use this medication cautiously. Pregnant or potentially pregnant women, nursing mothers, and children should consult with a healthcare professional before using this medication. If symptoms of infection, irritation, rash, itching, or redness appear on the skin, use should be stopped immediately and a healthcare professional should be consulted. Long-term use may cause side effects such as thinning of the skin or dilation of blood vessels, so caution is required. When used around the eyes, there is a risk of increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma. Care is particularly necessary when this medication is used extensively or for long periods, as systemic side effects may occur, especially with the occlusive dressing method. In children, there is a higher risk of side effects due to greater drug absorption relative to their weight, so minimal amounts should be used under the supervision of a guardian. The treatment period varies depending on symptoms, but if there is no improvement after 3 to 4 weeks of use, treatment should be stopped and other conditions should be considered. This medication should not be used for ophthalmic purposes and should not be used for purposes other than treatment after makeup or shaving. When using, the established dosage and frequency must be strictly adhered to, and it should be kept out of the reach of children. It should be stored in its original container; transferring it to another container could lead to misuse or deterioration of quality.
