Treatment of allergic and inflammatory skin diseases (eczema, contact dermatitis, etc.) and first-degree burns
This medication is used for various skin issues such as eczema, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, and psoriasis that involve secondary infections from allergic or inflammatory skin diseases. It also alleviates itching symptoms and is effective in treating first-degree burns. It helps soothe and improve skin inflammation and infections. Therefore, it is effectively used for such skin diseases or mild burn symptoms.
Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area (site of disease) 1 to 3 times a day.
This medication should not be used in patients with bacterial, fungal, viral, or animal skin infections, as it may worsen the symptoms. Patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its components should also avoid using it. Caution is needed if there are perforations in the eardrum, severe skin damage, or ulcers, as this medication may delay healing. It is advisable not to use this medication in patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, or rosaceous dermatitis. Caution should be exercised when using this medication in patients allergic to certain antibiotics, as cross-reactions may occur. Patients with allergies or hypersensitivity to propylene glycol should use this medication with caution. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, as well as children and adolescents, must consult with a healthcare professional before using this medication. If symptoms of skin infection, irritation, rash, or itching occur during use, the medication should be stopped immediately and a consultation with a healthcare professional should be sought. When used for an extended period or over a large area, side effects such as inhibition of hormonal function or increased ocular pressure may occur, so caution is advised. In particular, when using a sealed dressing method, the risk of infection increases, so it must be done under the guidance of a healthcare professional. This medication should be used strictly according to the prescribed dosage and frequency, especially under the supervision of a guardian in children. If symptoms improve, it is recommended to discontinue use as soon as possible, as systemic side effects may occur with prolonged use. Excessive use can lead to skin changes, pigmentation, adrenal insufficiency, and other issues, so caution is required. Expectant mothers or breastfeeding women should carefully compare the risks and benefits of using this medication before making a decision. Children absorb medications better in relation to body surface area, so minimal amounts should be used. This medication should not be used for ophthalmic purposes, and it is also safe to avoid using it for treatment after makeup or shaving.
