Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with specific bacterial, fungal, viral, and animal skin infections as it may worsen symptoms. Additionally, it should be avoided by individuals allergic to this medication or its ingredients. Patients with eczematous otitis externa with a perforated eardrum should be careful, as treatment may be delayed. It is advisable not to use this medication in cases of ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite, as skin regeneration may be delayed. Patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, or rosacea should also not use this medication. Caution is advised before using this medication for individuals with hypersensitivity to specific antibiotics, as cross-allergy may occur. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant and breastfeeding mothers must consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. It should be used cautiously in children or adolescents under the guidance of a guardian. If symptoms of infection, irritation, rash, itching, fever, etc., occur on the skin, use should be stopped immediately and a specialist consulted. Long-term use may lead to steroid side effects such as skin atrophy, telangiectasia, and pigment abnormalities; thus, caution is advised. Use should be restricted if applying large amounts or to widespread areas, as systemic side effects may occur. Special care should be taken when applying around the eyes as there is a risk of increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma. This medication must be used according to the prescribed dosage and administration, and if symptoms improve, it is recommended to stop using it as soon as possible. Long-term use may lead to kidney function decline or hearing loss; therefore, regular check-ups are recommended. In children, there is a higher risk of side effects due to a greater body surface area relative to body weight, so only the minimal amount should be used. The use of occlusive dressings may increase the risk of skin infections, so it must be done according to expert guidance. This medication is not for ophthalmic use and should be avoided for non-therapeutic use after makeup or shaving. During storage, keep out of reach of children, and store securely in the original container.
