Treatment of allergic and inflammatory skin diseases (eczema, contact dermatitis, etc.) and first-degree burns
This medication is used for various dermatitis conditions, such as eczema, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, chronic simple dermatitis, and photodermatitis, as well as conditions like itching, psoriasis, and first-degree burns, especially when they are associated with secondary infections. It helps relieve inflammation and improve the condition of the skin in these diseases.
Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area once to three times a day.
This medication should not be used by patients with bacterial, fungal, viral, or animal skin infections, as it may exacerbate their symptoms. Patients who are hypersensitive to any ingredient in this medication or have a history of such reactions should also avoid use. Individuals with specific skin conditions, such as perforated eardrums, ulcers, severe burns, or dermatitis around the mouth, may experience delayed healing or aggravated symptoms if this medication is used. Patients allergic to aminoglycoside antibiotics should also refrain from using this medication for safety. This medication contains propylene glycol; those allergic to it should use it with caution. Pregnant or breastfeeding women and young children must consult a physician or pharmacist before using this medication. If any unusual symptoms like skin infection, irritation, rash, itching, or redness occur while using this medication, it should be discontinued immediately, and a professional should be consulted. Caution is necessary when using this medication over a long period or on large areas, as it may suppress pituitary or adrenal function. When applied near the eyes, there is a risk of increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma; prolonged use may cause visual disturbances such as blurred vision. If used locally for a long time, it may worsen fungal infections, so it should be discontinued immediately if symptoms worsen. It is essential to follow the prescribed dosage and administration carefully, especially when used by children under parental supervision. Long-term use may lead to side effects such as adrenal insufficiency, Cushing's syndrome, skin atrophy, and hirsutism, so the duration of use should be minimized. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid extensive or prolonged use and use it cautiously under professional guidance if necessary. Children may absorb a larger amount of the medication relative to their body surface area, leading to adrenal suppression or growth retardation, so caution is advised. Special care is needed when using this medication in diaper areas or when sealed dressings are used, as excessive absorption might occur. This medication is not for ophthalmic use and should not be applied directly to the eyes or used for the treatment of ocular diseases. Do not use this medication for purposes other than treatment after makeup or shaving, and sealed dressings should only be used as directed by a physician. Keep out of reach of children, and store in the original container with the lid tightly closed.
