This medication is used to improve spasmodic pain due to gastrointestinal diseases, biliary tract and urinary tract spasmodic pain, as well as dysfunctions such as dysmenorrhea in the female reproductive system.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults take 1-2 tablets orally three times a day. The maximum daily dose must not exceed 6 tablets.

Precautions

This medication can put a strain on the liver, so individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. This medication should not be used by patients with severely impaired kidney function, certain enzyme deficiency diseases, glaucoma, prostatic enlargement, pyloric stenosis, or paralytic ileus. Additionally, patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication or have previously experienced asthma related to this or other cold medications or antipyretic analgesics should also avoid taking it. This medication contains lactose; therefore, individuals with lactose intolerance or related genetic disorders should refrain from use. This medication contains acetaminophen, and taking it with other acetaminophen-containing products may cause liver damage, so it should only be taken alone. Patients with impaired liver function or certain liver diseases, or severe heart disease should exercise particular caution when using this medication. During the course of administration, various side effects including blood abnormalities, allergic reactions, digestive disorders, metabolic abnormalities, and neurological symptoms may occur; if any abnormal symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Individuals with a history of bronchial asthma or allergies should be aware that bronchospasm may occur after taking this medication, and it is advisable to avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery. This medication can cause liver damage when taken with alcohol or certain drugs; thus, if other medications are being taken, consultation with an expert is essential. Women in early pregnancy or breastfeeding should exercise caution with this medication, particularly if taken at high doses over long periods, considering its effects on the baby. Use in children is not recommended. Overdose may lead to severe liver damage and kidney issues; therefore, if symptoms appear, immediate hospital treatment should be sought.

Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take this medication with other products containing acetaminophen, barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants, or alcohol. It is advisable not to use it alongside antiepileptics and rifampicin. Taking with dopamine antagonists such as antihistamines, quinidine, amantadine, disopyramide, metoclopramide, β-agonists, propantheline, chloramphenicol, oral anticoagulants, or zidovudine should be done with care and consultation with a doctor or pharmacist.

This medication must be stored in a sealed container to prevent air entry and should be kept at room temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius. Storing it this way can safely maintain the drug's effectiveness.
