This medication is used for symptoms caused by stroke, including generalized paralysis, limb paralysis, language disorders, coma, mental confusion, facial nerve paralysis, hypertension, and symptoms of autonomic nervous system abnormalities, such as palpitations and anxiety. It is also effective for conditions such as acute and chronic convulsions, autonomic dysfunction, and insomnia. Overall, this medication helps alleviate various symptoms of neurological and cardiovascular diseases, thereby improving the quality of life of patients.

How to take

Adult dose

Pills: take 1 pill once, 1-2 times a day, chew or dissolve in warm water. Liquid (Syrup): take 1 bottle (single dose) once, 1-2 times a day.

Child dose

Pills: Ages 8-15 take 2/3 of a pill once, ages 5-7 take 1/2 pill once, ages 2-4 take 1/3 pill once, and for under 1 year take 1/4 pill, 1-2 times a day, chew or dissolve in warm water. Liquid (Syrup): Ages 8-15 take once.

Precautions

Patients with hypertension, heart or kidney problems, those with body swelling, and elderly individuals should consult their doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Patients taking other medications should also discuss with a professional before using this medication. Individuals with weak gastrointestinal function should be cautious as this medication may cause loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. Patients with reduced appetite or symptoms of nausea or vomiting should consult a professional before taking this medication, as their symptoms may worsen. This medication contains lactose and should not be taken by patients with lactose intolerance or certain genetic metabolic disorders. If urine output decreases, swelling occurs in the face and limbs, blood pressure rises, or headaches develop while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. If muscle weakness, limb cramps, or paralysis occur, stop taking this medication and inform a professional. If skin rash, itching, hives, or indigestion symptoms develop, discontinue use and consult a professional. If symptoms do not improve after several days of use, stop taking the medication and consult a professional. Even with prolonged use of this medication, consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is necessary, and prescribed dosages must be strictly followed. Be cautious when taking this medication with potassium-containing drugs, licorice-containing drugs, or certain diuretics, as this may lead to hypokalemia or muscle abnormalities. This medication may be effective for motor dysfunction or facial paralysis resulting from a stroke; however, its efficacy for language disorders or consciousness disturbances is unclear. The effectiveness for shortness of breath has not been proven so this medication is not used for treatment of this symptom. When taking other herbal remedies, ensure there are no overlapping ingredients. For storage, keep away from direct sunlight and in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children. Do not transfer this medication from its original container to another one, and ensure it is tightly sealed after use.

Mild side effects

  • Loss of appetite, abdominal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, erythema, hives, itching, etc.
  • Increased blood pressure, headache, weakness, limb cramps, paralysis, and other symptoms.
