This medication is used for gastrointestinal-related symptoms, such as stomach pain, heartburn, indigestion, and nausea.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults (15 years and older, under 80 years): Take 2 tablets at a time, and if symptoms do not improve after more than 5 hours, take 2 more tablets. However, do not exceed 2 doses (4 tablets) in one day.

Precautions

This drug should not be used by patients with blood disorders, kidney or liver disorders, gastric and duodenal diseases, or immune system disorders such as asthma or rheumatoid diseases. Patients taking corticosteroids, antibiotics, chemotherapeutic agents, or azole antifungals should also exercise caution when taking this drug. Individuals with a history of blood abnormalities, such as anemia, thrombocytopenia, or leukopenia, should be aware that this drug may further decrease blood cell counts. People who are hypersensitive to histamine H2-receptor antagonists should not use this drug. Children under 15 years of age and elderly individuals over 80 years old should use this medication carefully as its safety is not established, and renal function decline may lead to stronger effects. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers, should take caution when using this drug, and nursing mothers should discontinue breastfeeding while taking the medication. Patients undergoing dialysis should also be careful when using this medication. This drug contains lactose, so patients with galactose intolerance, Lapp Lactase deficiency, glucose-galactose malabsorption, or other genetic metabolic disorders should not take it. This medication may interact with other drugs, so patients currently taking other medications or receiving medical care should consult with healthcare providers before use. Individuals with a history of drug allergies should also take caution. Elderly individuals over 65 years old should use it with care due to individual variability from decreased physiological functions. In cases of sore throat, cough, or high fever, this medication may worsen symptoms or mask side effects; thus, caution is advised. Consult a healthcare provider before use if there is unexplained weight loss or persistent abdominal pain, as there may be other disease possibilities. If allergic symptoms, constipation, diarrhea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, or muscle pain occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. If sudden chest tightness, paleness, cold extremities, sweating, or shortness of breath occurs after administration, contact medical personnel immediately. If severe rash or blisters appear with high fever, discontinue use immediately and seek treatment. If symptoms such as sore throat, fever, lethargy, pallor of the face and eyelids, or easy bleeding manifest, consult a healthcare provider right away. If jaundice symptoms appear, discontinue use immediately and inform healthcare personnel. If symptoms do not improve after taking this drug for more than 3 days, discontinue use and consult a doctor or pharmacist, and it should not be taken for longer than 2 weeks. Avoid alcoholic beverages during use, and do not exceed the prescribed dosage. This drug should not be used for any symptoms other than the designated ones, and long-term use should be avoided. Patients with a history of kidney disease should consult a professional prior to use. The antacid components included in this drug may interact with specific antibiotics, inhibiting their absorption; thus, caution is needed when taking tetracycline antibiotics or fluoroquinolone antibacterial agents. Avoid co-administration with other gastrointestinal medications as it may exacerbate side effects. Keep out of reach of children, avoiding direct sunlight and high temperatures; store in a cool, dry place.
