Precautions

This medication should not be administered to patients being treated for blood disorders, kidney or liver diseases, gastric or duodenal diseases, and immune system disorders such as asthma or rheumatism. During treatment, white blood cell or platelet counts may decrease, so patients with these conditions should be especially cautious. Patients taking steroids, antibiotics, antineoplastics, and certain antifungals are also advised not to use this medication. This drug can affect blood cell counts, which may be dangerous for patients with a history of anemia, thrombocytopenia, or leukopenia. Individuals with hypersensitivity to histamine H2-receptor antagonists may experience allergic reactions and should avoid this medication. The safety of this medication has not been established for children under 15 years and for elderly patients over 80 years, as elderly patients may experience a stronger effect due to decreased kidney function. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers, should consult a doctor before taking this medication as it may affect the fetus or infant. Patients on dialysis should also consult their healthcare provider before using this medication. Caution is advised for patients taking other medications or undergoing treatment from their physician due to the potential for drug interactions that may lead to adverse effects or reduced efficacy. Individuals with a history of drug hypersensitivity should use this medication cautiously. Elderly patients (65 years and older) should exercise increased caution due to individual variability resulting from decreased physiological functions. In cases of sore throat, cough, or high fever, this medication may aggravate symptoms or mask side effects, thus consulting a physician is recommended. If experiencing unexplained weight loss or persistent abdominal pain, consult a healthcare provider before taking this medication as there may be other underlying conditions. If rash, itching, swelling, diarrhea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, or myalgia occurs during treatment, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare provider or pharmacist. Symptoms such as chest tightness, paleness, cold extremities, cold sweat, or breathlessness may indicate an emergency, and immediate medical attention is necessary. If skin rash, blisters, or mucosal damage occur with high fever, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. Symptoms like sore throat, fever, malaise, bleeding tendency, or jaundice may indicate serious side effects and should be reported to a healthcare provider immediately. If symptoms do not improve after 3 days of use, discontinue the medication and consult a physician, as there may be other underlying conditions. This medication should not be taken for more than 2 weeks, and caution is advised to not exceed the prescribed dosage. Alcoholic beverages should be avoided during treatment, and it is safer not to combine this medication with other gastrointestinal drugs. The antacid components in this medication may interact with certain antibiotics and impede their absorption, so these should not be taken together. Keep out of reach of children, and store in a cool place away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity. To maintain quality and prevent misuse, do not transfer this medication to another container.
