Adult dose
Adults: As cimetidine, 400 mg orally 2 times a day (morning and at bedtime) or 800 mg once a day (at bedtime). Additionally, 300 mg orally 4 times a day (after meals and at bedtime) may be given. The dose can be increased up to 1.6 g per day (400 mg 4 times a day after meals and at bedtime). For acute gastritis or acute exacerbations of chronic gastritis, 200 mg orally 2 times a day or 400 mg once a day may be administered.
Child dose
Children: Administer 20 to 40 mg per kg of body weight per day, divided into oral doses.

This medication is used for gastrointestinal ulcer diseases such as ulcers of the stomach and duodenum, gastroesophageal reflux disease, recurrent ulcers, anastomotic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It also helps to improve lesions such as erosion, bleeding, redness, and swelling of the gastric mucosa that occur during acute exacerbations of acute and chronic gastritis. This medication protects the gastric mucosa, reduces inflammation and bleeding, alleviates symptoms, and is beneficial for improving gastrointestinal health. Therefore, it is used for the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases and for the improvement of mucosal damage.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults: As cimetidine, 400 mg orally 2 times a day (morning and at bedtime) or 800 mg once a day (at bedtime). Additionally, 300 mg orally 4 times a day (after meals and at bedtime) may be given. Precautions

This medication contains the ingredient cimetidine and should not be administered to certain patients. For example, patients who are allergic to this medication or cimetidine or have experienced hypersensitivity, patients currently taking dofetilide, and patients with lactose intolerance or specific genetic metabolic disorders may be at risk when using this medication. Patients with impaired kidney or liver function, those with a history of drug allergies, the elderly, children under 19 years of age, and patients undergoing dialysis must exercise extra caution when using this medication and may require dosage adjustment or changes in dosing intervals. Additionally, long-term or high-dose use of this medication may conceal symptoms of gastric cancer, so it is recommended to confirm the presence of malignant diseases prior to use. Patients with Helicobacter pylori infection should undergo bacterial eradication therapy concurrently. This medication can interact with several other medications, therefore, when taken with warfarin, midazolam, diazepam, beta-blockers, antidepressants, antibiotics, antifungals, and antidiabetic medications, dosage adjustments or discontinuation may be necessary. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should only use this medication when the therapeutic benefits outweigh the risks, and for breastfeeding mothers, it is recommended to discontinue breastfeeding while using this medication.
