I misstepped while coming down the stairs and badly sprained my ankleㅠㅠ At first, I thought it was just a minor twist, but as time passed, it swelled up and the outside of my ankle hurt so much whenever I walked that I went to Seoul Orthopedic Clinic. During the examination, they pressed around to check exactly where I was injured, and they first took an X-ray to make sure there was no damage to the bone. Thankfully, it wasn’t a fracture, but they explained that an ankle ligament injury was suspected. They said that continuing to move my ankle could delay recovery, so I was told not to overdo it for a few days, apply ice, and rest as much as possible~^^ They wrapped my ankle to support it and showed me how to walk, so I continued managing it that way after I got home. The swelling was pretty bad for the first few days, but it gradually went down, and the pain when walking also noticeably decreased. 😊 I was glad I got proper treatment early on, since I learned that even a simple ankle sprain can last longer than you’d expect. It really is most important not to overdo it and to focus on recovering!
