I've been going to Samsung Eye Clinic for 5 years. They have many types of tests and conduct them quite meticulously, and the doctors are very caring. I have regular check-ups for cataracts and macular degeneration. It’s located in Jamsil-dong. However, because they have so many patients, I recommend making an appointment to avoid long waiting times and for a more comfortable visit.

I had LASEK surgery using the classic technique with the chief surgeon right before COVID. He’s very skilled, and the aftercare has been great as well. The staff are friendly, and the equipment is good. It’s usually crowded, so you need to make an appointment. My vision is currently 1.2 and has stayed that way.

I get checked once every three months. I had Cataract Surgery on my left and right eyes alternately. I had no idea cataracts could reduce my vision this much. Everything looked blurry and hazy. It seems to be a well-known hospital with considerable expertise in vision correction procedures such as lens implantation, and many famous influencers and athletes have visited for corrective surgery. To be honest, I had already been told at another hospital that my tearing was due to aging and that there was no other treatment. I didn’t even think it could be treated. However, they said here that it could be treated if I kept up with the treatment, so I gave it a try. I don’t know whether it helped other people, but it had little effect on me. That said, the treatment is covered by insurance, so there was no additional financial burden. My experience was that it wasn’t effective, but I don’t think I can conclude that it won’t be effective for others as well. I was satisfied with both the hospital’s facilities and the staff’s friendliness.
