This is the hospital we’ve been regularly visiting for years because my son has severe myopia. Since the first visit, we’ve been prescribed myopia control eye drops called Myoguard, and I’ve been putting a drop in each eye before bedtime. Since last year, we switched to a different eye drop prescribed by the doctor, and we’re continuing with that routine. Even though I’m worried that his vision is still deteriorating despite consistent use of the drops, as a mom, it makes me anxious not to use them, so I keep going.

On July 23, 2026, I accidentally got off the elevator at a building while going there for my child's vision issue and discovered these standing photos related to endoscopy promotion! I heard you can get both an upper endoscopy and a colonoscopy done together~ After a simple consultation, I received some medication, and I really appreciated how the doctor took their time to explain everything while writing down notes. They answered my questions right away, which was great. Since I worry a lot, they helped me to relax, and I felt comfortable. The day for my colonoscopy and upper endoscopy is approaching, and I'm really worried, but I’m going to trust them~~ By the way, the cost for sedation anesthesia is 50,000 won each~ If they remove polyps, there will be additional fees.

I'm still in my 40s, but I have a family history of glaucoma, so I go for regular eye check-ups. I specifically sought out Dr. Joong-woo because he is a clinical professor in the glaucoma/cataract department at Asan Hospital. Since I have family members suffering from glaucoma, I have a significant fear about it.. ㅠㅠ Even though I only go for my check-up once a year, the doctors who conduct the exams are always friendly, so I left feeling good. Basically, they check my vision, eye pressure, optic nerve, visual field, and so on. Sometimes I have trouble understanding because of my hearing issues, but both the doctor and the staff kindly clarify things for me without getting annoyed, so I can't imagine going to another hospital haha. I saw in the reviews that they do a great job with children's exams as well, so I might bring my kids next time.

My oldest child, who is in high school, has been struggling with poor eyesight, and usually can't manage school without his contacts. During class today, his lens tore and his eyes became very red, so he had to leave school early. Worrying about him, we headed straight to Gwangmyeong Jeon-ae Kim Eye Clinic. The inside of the clinic was really clean, and the nurses greeted us with bright smiles and kindness, which eased both my child's and my worries. The doctor was incredibly thorough in his examination and found that the torn lens had caused a scratch on the eye, and there were even pieces left inside. I felt reassured when I saw him carefully putting in anesthetic eye drops so my child wouldn’t feel any pain before the treatment. After safely removing the pieces, the doctor kindly reminded us to make sure he takes the prescribed medication until the scratch heals completely. If you’re looking for an eye clinic that offers attentive care without unnecessary treatments, I highly recommend this place.

Lately, my eyes had been feeling uncomfortable nonstop, so I finally went to Pureun Eye Clinic after putting it off. My eyes were watery and seemed a little swollen, and they just weren’t getting better. I went early in the morning because I thought there would be a wait. As expected, there were already lots of older patients waiting before they even opened. Since there were a lot of medical staff, the appointment itself didn’t take that long. After getting a basic vision test and eye pressure test in the initial examination room, I think it took about 40 minutes until I saw the doctor. The doctor was so kind. They explained everything carefully and in a way I could understand. They said my tear duct seemed slightly blocked and opened it up, but then they immediately put a needle in my eyeㅠㅠ It hurt. Sob. They prescribed eye drops, and I’ve been using them as directed. It seems to be getting better. From now on, if I feel even a little pain, I’m going straight to the hospital. If you’re planning to go, I recommend going early in the morning.

I saw Dr. Moon Hyeong-seok at Danwon Clear Eye Clinic in Jeonju on July 20. I visited because my 74-year-old mother had dry eyes and red eyes. Since we made an appointment ahead of time, we only waited about 10 minutes. The nurses patiently guided her through everything from the vision test and eye pressure test to the slit-lamp examination, so she felt comfortable throughout. The doctor explained the cause of her dry eyes and even how to use artificial tears, showing us everything on a monitor. There was absolutely no unnecessary treatment—he prescribed only the medication she needed. After using the prescribed Hyal Mini and Ocuain eye drops for a week, the redness had improved a lot. Since the clinic is on the first floor, there are no stairs, and all the staff were friendly, so it’s a great place to take your parents. Parking behind the building was convenient too. If you’re considering an eye exam for parents with presbyopia or dry eyes, I highly recommend this clinic.

    UnverifiedWonju Bright Eye Clinic

I visited Wonju Bright Eye Hospital for an examination. The hospital was relatively clean, and the guidance from reception to the testing process was straightforward, making it easy for a first-time visitor. I went on a weekday, and the waiting time wasn't too long. The testing process followed a clear order, so there was no interruption in the flow. The examination started with a basic vision test, and the medical staff provided a simple explanation before proceeding, so I was able to undergo the tests without any anxiety. During the consultation, they explained my current eye condition and also provided advice on things to be cautious about in daily life. They didn't induce excessive worry or engage in unnecessary discussions, which helped create a calm atmosphere for the consultation. Overall, I got the impression that it’s a decent hospital for regular eye check-ups or basic care.

I had a memory of waiting more than 2 hours after making an appointment, so I called the clinic in advance to inquire about scheduling. (I had made an initial visit appointment a week before, but had to give up after waiting about 3 hours including lunch time.) They told me that as long as I register for treatment by 5:00 PM, I could be seen the same day, so I went at the right time and was able to be treated within 30 minutes. About two weeks ago, I had a stye and it subsided, but I still felt like there was something lingering in the area where the stye was. It was thin and swollen, so I took medication and applied it for a week, and was told that if it didn’t go away after two weeks, I'd have to slice and scrape the inflamed area. 😭 They also did a vision test and said I was developing presbyopia, and that using my phone without reading glasses had caused astigmatism. They told me to bring reading glasses for my next appointment. 😭

    UnverifiedKim Chan-sik Eye Clinic

I went to Dr. Kim Chan-sik's ophthalmology clinic. In the mornings, I was tearing up a lot, which was really bothersome, and on top of that, doing my eye makeup was hard since it kept smudging. They said the tear duct was blocked. 😢 Since it’s spring, they mentioned that allergies might be affecting me too, so I got eye drops to use three times a day. 😢 They said it wouldn't get better right away and advised me to be diligent with the drops. They also did a few tests like a vision and pressure check. The facility had a very old-school vibe which was a bit off-putting, but I trusted them as I've heard good things about this place. After trying the drops morning and night for about three days, my tearing has improved a lot. I still wake up with some tearing, so I plan to keep using them for a while. I think I’ll need to go back to the clinic tomorrow since I’m out of eye drops.

I visited an eye doctor because my eyes were extremely irritated from using my phone too much. When I woke up, my eyes would be so watery and painful that I ended up at Readers Sungmo Eye Clinic. It's close to my house and had good reviews, so I decided to go there. They seemed to specialize in things like vision correction and cataracts. Since it was my first visit, I had a basic examination first, and then the doctor continued with the consultation. I thought it was just simple dry eye syndrome, but the doctor kindly explained that it was due to oil glands in my eyes not functioning properly. I was prescribed artificial tears and eye ointment, and I even got a special cleanser for eyelid washing and recommendations for warm compresses. I received very kind treatment, and the doctor advised me to do the warm compresses often.

I brought my niece to Nuneye Eye Clinic for the first time in a year, and they still welcomed us so kindly that I had a great time taking her for her check-up. I was a bit worried because my niece tends to be scared of doctors, but the staff and the director treated her so warmly that she was able to relax and do well during the exam. They conducted the vision test and explained her eye condition very thoroughly, making it easy for me as her guardian to understand. I was also impressed with how they made sure to communicate with her at her eye level throughout the eye tests, which helped my niece feel more comfortable. The clinic itself was clean, and the waiting system was well organized, so we didn't have to wait long at all. It really reinforces the idea that Nuneye Eye Clinic is famous for a good reason!^^

I've been going for regular check-ups every three months after getting laser treatment for floaters. It turns out my retina has torn due to various reasons, and I'm told that the black dots and ant-like shapes I see in front of my eyes won’t go away; I have to adapt to them. They advised me to come in immediately if it gets worse or if I experience any flashes of light. I've also shown some signs of retinal detachment, so they mentioned that if it worsens, we might need to consider surgery. I have to keep getting special retinal imaging done every three months. While I have been using my smartphone a lot, they say my presbyopia and some kind of shock (like rubbing my eyes hard) are the causes. Occasionally, I feel pain in my eyes, have headaches, and my vision suddenly got worse in one eye, but they say there's no specific cause, just signs of retinal issues.

While looking for an eye clinic because my child’s vision had gotten worse, I got a recommendation from a friend and went to Yonsei Neulbalgeun Eye Clinic. It’s very well-known, so there’s usually a long wait and appointments are hard to get. We even went for the Saturday opening. They have a pediatric ophthalmology specialist, and the examination was so thorough that it was comparable to a university hospital, which made me feel confident. We saw Dr. Ji Mi-jung, who specializes in pediatric ophthalmology. My child is still young but has fairly severe myopia, so she said it would be a good idea to use MyoGuard eye drops. There are also contact lenses, but since my child is still young, she recommended trying the eye drops first. I appreciated how thoroughly she explained to both my child and me how to dilute and use them at first, as well as what kind of light sensitivity to expect.

Ace Eye Clinic provides an overall comfortable experience. The examination process is neat, and the doctor calmly explains the condition, making it easy to understand. They only recommend necessary tests or treatments, which reduces the pressure. The staff are friendly, and the wait time isn’t long, so there’s no discomfort, and the facilities are quite clean, providing peace of mind regarding hygiene. The location near Unjeong Central Station makes it easily accessible, and it's convenient to schedule appointments on weekdays and Saturdays. Although they don’t have large equipment or multiple departments like a university hospital, it definitely meets my needs for simple vision checks or basic eye care. Overall, it strongly feels like a neighborhood clinic that you can visit without hesitation, so I would be inclined to return if needed.

My right eye was really burning, so I visited the ophthalmology clinic on Saturday. I knew there would be a surcharge for the visit, but I was worried it might get worse over the weekend. There were no other patients waiting, so I had my vision check and various basic tests done immediately. The basic tests revealed an issue with my right eye's retina, so they administered dilation drops and conducted a detailed examination. The results showed slight scarring on the lower part of my right retina, which was identified as having previously suffered from a retinal condition. There were no medications prescribed after the examination. The hospital is larger than I expected, and the waiting room is spacious, allowing for a comfortable wait and consultation. I was informed that it's possible to visit without an appointment on weekdays for first-time patients.

I visited First Samsung Eye Clinic because my eyes felt dry and my vision was blurred. The exam seemed to take a while, possibly due to the variety of testing equipment, but the process was organized so it didn’t feel confusing. After the vision test, they showed me on a monitor how dry my eyes were and explained my current eye condition. It wasn't just about prescribing eye drops; they also pointed out things I could change in my lifestyle, which was really helpful. When I mentioned that I spend a lot of time on the computer, they gave me specific tips on how to take breaks and use artificial tears. There were some people waiting, but the flow was quick enough so it wasn’t boring for too long. After the appointment, using the prescribed medication definitely reduced the sting in my eyes, and I feel like the dryness has improved compared to before.

I was diagnosed with retinal membrane disease at Busan National University Hospital and have been managing it for several years. Since it's a university hospital, the waiting time is incredibly long. Even with an appointment, it takes about 5 hours to undergo tests, wait, have a consultation, and then get back home. If I arrive at 8:20 am, I go through a vision test, two more tests, and then get dilating eye drops in both eyes to wait again before heading to the retinal examination room for three more types of tests, waiting indefinitely. Meeting the doctor and getting explanations takes less than 5 minutes. Still, at least it's a relief that the disease hasn't progressed to where any treatment is needed yet. This illness is tough because there’s nothing the patient can particularly do to help, which is even more frustrating. I just hope it progresses slowly. However, Dr. Deumdung is very kind and answers questions well, which is nice.

I suddenly started seeing a black dot and hair-like things in my right eye, and my vision worsened, so I made a phone appointment and visited. The clinic is large, with a separate testing area, and it felt very systematic, which gave me trust. The medical parts are divided into two areas, and in the one I went to, there were 3 examination rooms with very kind doctors. I was diagnosed with floaters and underwent a special retinal examination, which revealed some slightly elevated and torn parts of my retina, leading to laser treatment. I was able to resume my daily activities immediately, but my vision was still a bit blurry and I experienced discomfort. After about 6 hours, it got better, but the floaters didn't completely disappear. They scheduled a follow-up appointment in a month, so I'll need to go back then.

First of all, it was nice that there weren’t many patients, so I could get treated quickly. The nurses at the front desk were friendly and explained everything well, and the doctor who did the eye exam was also really kind and explained each step, so it felt like it finished quickly. The results were good, which put my mind at ease. One thing I was a bit worried about was that the paper on the chin wasn't changed and I felt like both I and my grandmother were using the same one, which made me think there might be a cleanliness issue. I remember in the past they used to wipe the forehead with disinfectant cotton, but maybe because there are fewer doctors or nurses now, they didn’t do that this time. Still, I was able to complete the vision test and the test where they blow air into my eyes. On the way out, they also gave me a snowflake-shaped snack, and it was delicious.

6 frequently asked questions

  • Should I undergo LASIK or LASEK, and how much will it cost?

Hello. We apologize for the delay in our response. First, LASIK and LASEK are different surgical methods. LASIK is a procedure suitable for patients with a thick cornea and has a faster recovery, whereas LASEK can generally be performed for most patients. A decision should be made based on the results of your examination. The cost for LASEK is 690,000 KRW, and for LASIK, it is 1,290,000 KRW. Thank you.

  • I can see well for most things, but the text in books and on my phone is not clear. How much does presbyopia surgery cost? How long will the results last? I was born in 1972.

Hello. This is Clear Seoul Eye Clinic. For presbyopia, both presbyopic LASIK and multifocal lenses are possible. However, if you have good distance vision, presbyopic LASIK may be less suitable, and it is advisable to proceed with multifocal lens treatment. Unlike presbyopic LASIK, the multifocal lens implantation is a permanent procedure. Thank you.

  • I would like to correct astigmatism during cataract surgery. Is that possible?

Hello. This is Clear Seoul Eye Clinic. We also have toric intraocular lenses for correcting astigmatism among the artificial lenses for cataract surgery. Thank you.
