I had LASIK surgery at B&VIIT Eye Clinic. I had my preoperative examination using their specialized system, and everything progressed quickly. The surgery was performed with a laser, and I was able to see what was happening during the procedure. After the LASIK surgery, it was uncomfortable and hard to open my eyes, but after resting at home for about a day, I could see clearly, which felt amazing. I never realized how convenient it would be to see well with my own eyes without wearing the glasses I had worn for about 15 years. It was especially great when traveling because I could go without having to pack a contact lens case, cleaning solution, glasses, and so on. They say my vision will improve even more as time passes after the surgery, so I’m looking forward to that even more.

There are many clinics near my home that do national health screenings, and I went there to get a drug test! Since it's a large hospital, the process starts right away with a urine sample, and then they quickly do hearing and vision tests, X-rays, and other check-ups. There were a lot of people, but it only took about 1 hour and 30 minutes, plus there was plenty of parking, which was great! I had blood drawn, and since there was a little blood clot, they added another bandage. I had inquired about the drug test with their customer service, and they kindly informed me not to drink coffee or take any supplements or cold medicine starting three days prior. Even though I repeated my appointment request, they changed it right away, and I really liked how fast they handled everything! There are also a dental clinic and an OB-GYN in the same space, and I appreciate being able to receive my test results via KakaoTalk or mail.

I went after hearing that they were very thorough. I’m in my late 30s, and because my eyesight isn’t very good, I already had wrinkles between my eyebrows. But honestly, I wasn’t very satisfied after getting Botox. There wasn’t any major improvement, so I waited three months and had the procedure done somewhere else. I didn’t feel like my forehead and the area between my eyebrows were being held in place. I also kept frowning. They said they would do a touch-up within two weeks, but as a working mom, it wasn’t easy for me to find the time, so I couldn’t go back. They say this is a good place to get Botox regularly before wrinkles become deeply set, so I think it would be good for everyone to get it done in advance and maintain a pleasant expression. The clinic was generally clean, and the staff were friendly.

Recently, my eyes have been getting tired easily, and after staring at a screen for a long time, I often feel like my vision blurs for a moment, so I decided to visit an eye clinic. In the past, resting for a bit would help, but nowadays even closing my eyes and opening them again takes a long time to recover, making the discomfort grow. During the examination, it wasn’t just a simple vision test; they systematically checked the condition of the eye surface, the stability of the tear film, and the eye's focusing ability. Before each test, they explained why it was necessary and what information they hoped to gather, making it easy to go through the tests without feeling burdened. In the consultation about the test results, I learned that it wasn’t just the vision numbers that were important, but that the surface of my eyes was becoming dry and my focus was shaky, leading to accumulated fatigue. The doctor explained why my eyes feel drier at certain times of the day and why it takes longer to recover even after resting, linking it to my lifestyle habits, and pointed out the specific impacts of my screen usage environment on my eyes. The treatment focused more on management rather than medication, guiding me on when and how often to use artificial tears based on different situations. They also used real examples to explain how the angle at which I look at screens, the height of the monitor, and the arrangement of surrounding lights can affect eye fatigue, which made it easy to understand. After following their advice for a few days, I noticed the stiffness in my eyes decreased, and I felt less fatigued than before even after looking at the screen for long periods. It wasn’t just a simple prescription; it was a consultation that made me more aware of how I use my eyes. I feel like I would want to return to this clinic again whenever my eye condition changes.

Lately, my eyes have been feeling dry and red frequently, so I made an appointment and visited right away. From check-in to the exam, everything was quite organized, and the basic testing equipment was well-equipped. After the vision and pressure tests, I had my consultation, and the doctor explained my eye condition in a relatively calm manner. I also received advice about lifestyle habits and using artificial tears, which was helpful. However, there were a lot of patients waiting, so the waiting time between tests felt long. Overall, the staff's service was acceptable, but during busy times, it felt a bit mechanical. The prescribed artificial tears had low irritation, so they were okay to use. Overall, the consultation was stable, but if you're looking for a quick visit, you might feel burdened by the waiting time.

Recently, I've been feeling more and more that my eyes are often dry and out of focus, so I decided to visit the clinic. After checking in, I went through a series of tests starting from basic vision tests, to intraocular pressure measurements, corneal thickness assessments, and fundus photography. For each test, they briefly explained why it was necessary, which made me feel at ease. I was especially impressed by the dry eye test where they checked the tear break-up time and showed me the condition of my eyes on a monitor. It wasn't just about getting a prescription for artificial tears; they also asked about my lifestyle, smartphone usage, and sleep patterns, providing a comprehensive explanation of the potential causes. They gave me detailed instructions on how to do warm compresses and clean my eyelids. However, since there were a lot of tests, it took over an hour including waiting time, and being Saturday, it was a bit crowded. Still, I felt it was a thorough examination without feeling like it was overkill.

I've heard it before, but there are really a lot of people. The building is clean, and all the machines seem new, and everyone is friendly, but there are so many people and the waiting time was too long, which was tough. I think it's better to make an appointment before visiting or consider going to another hospital. I arrived at 8:50 and didn't finish my consultation until after 11:30. I had a basic check-up after a long time, so I'm not sure if that took longer or not... I had tests for intraocular pressure, tears, vision, and after the consultation, I ended up paying about 50,000 won. The explanation was good, but I think the professor seemed a bit tired since his voice and tone were like someone who could put you to sleep, and there were no special findings other than conjunctivitis, so I just thought, 'Well, it's still okay' and left. If the waiting time isn't too long, I would consider coming back.

As I've gotten older, I expected my vision to deteriorate, but at some point, I started experiencing discomfort where I couldn't see near objects without taking off my glasses. People around me started telling me it sounded like presbyopia, so I took the time to visit Suwon Samsung Eye Clinic. I made a phone appointment beforehand, and they were very friendly and helpful in setting that up. On the day of my appointment, the staff was very welcoming, and the registration process went smoothly. I saw the doctor without having to wait in the waiting area for a long time. They examined my eyes thoroughly and conducted systematic tests based on my current condition. After the testing, they reviewed the results and provided a clear diagnosis of my condition. I'm really glad I came in. It was a good experience.

Recently, I've been experiencing stinging eyes and tearing when looking at my laptop or computer screen. I tried using artificial tears and kept an eye on it, but it didn’t improve, so I eventually went to Yonsei Malgeun Eye Clinic. The facilities looked good, and I was satisfied with the experience. They kindly helped me with the appointment. After a basic vision test, I saw the doctor, and we also did a cataract examination. Luckily, he said it wasn't anything serious, just some inflammation in my eyes. He was very kind and explained everything really well. The nurses were also all very friendly, which was nice. After getting a prescription and consistently using the eye drops, my symptoms have improved a lot.

The hospital was easy to find because it was less than 100 meters straight ahead from Exit 8 of Bulgwang Station on Subway Line 3. My eyesight had gotten worse, and my eyes felt blurry, tired, and heavy, so I visited for the first time on a friend's recommendation. I was impressed by how large and clean the hospital was. There were a lot of patients, but since I had made an appointment, I didn't have to wait very long. A nurse guided me through several different tests, and then I had a consultation with the director. The director said it was typical Presbyopia and that, thankfully, I didn't have Cataract or glaucoma, which I had been worried about. I received a prescription for glasses, but when the nurse mentioned reading glasses, I decided to pass on those. All the staff and the director were kind, and the director explained everything well, so I came away with a good impression of the hospital.

I took my oldest child to Yeonsu Neulbalgeun Eye Clinic for an exophoria vision check. The first clinic we visited diagnosed my child with strabismus, but after finding a doctor who specializes in pediatric strabismus and having another examination, we learned that it was exophoria, not strabismus. They said that regular checkups alone could prevent it from getting worse, so we’ve been coming in for follow-up care for three years now. They start with a basic vision check, and then they also check how the exophoria is progressing. At this checkup, they told us that the myopia had gotten slightly worse, but the difference was barely noticeable, and that the exophoria had not gotten any worse and was being maintained well. We have regular checkups once every six months, and the hospital sends us a reminder text about a week beforehand. I hope it doesn’t get any worse and continues to be well managed.

Since yesterday afternoon, my eyes had been feeling constantly dry and blurry, so I started wondering, “Are my eyes getting old too?” and went to Gangnam St. Mary’s Eye Clinic. To be honest, I was a little nervous because I thought I’d have to get a vision test and all kinds of other tests, but once I got there, the atmosphere was more relaxed than I expected, so I quickly loosened up. During the exam, I was sitting in front of the machine, trying my best to keep my eyes open, but they started tearing up a little, which I found kind of funny. The doctor also took the time to ask me step by step about the discomfort I was experiencing and explained the results in a way that wasn’t difficult to understand. I was almost embarrassed that I’d scared myself by searching my symptoms online and thinking, “What if it’s something serious?” After the appointment, both my eyes and my mind felt much more at ease! Next time something feels wrong with my eyes, I’m going to go straight to an eye clinic instead of searching online by myself first.

I visited the eye clinic because I had a lot of yellow eye discharge. Since this was a follow-up visit, they didn't do a vision test but performed a few other tests, including checking my intraocular pressure, before I met with the doctor. The doctor examined me using the eye examination equipment in the office and noted that I had allergic conjunctivitis in one eye, which was causing the increased discharge, but there were no other specific unusual symptoms. I was worried because the discharge had suddenly increased, but hearing that there were no other abnormal symptoms relieved my worries. The only prescription was to use disposable artificial tears regularly. Geochang Jeil Eye Clinic moved to a new building around the end of last year, so the interior is very nice, and I felt good during the examination. The space is large, the facilities are great, and I got the impression that they treated me kindly.

I had a feeling of tightness and blurry vision, so I went for an eye exam. They conducted a vision test, checked my intraocular pressure, and assessed my corneal condition in order, and the results were presented in easy-to-understand numbers. I was diagnosed with early-stage dry eye and received detailed instructions on how often to use artificial tears and the proper application method. They suggested eye rest techniques, like looking at something far away for 20 seconds after working for 20 minutes, since I spend a lot of time using a monitor. They didn’t recommend any unnecessary expensive tests, which was relieving. During the examination process, they also informed me that there might be some glare, so I was able to take the tests without feeling anxious. The only downside was that, since it was Saturday, there were quite a few people waiting, so it took a little longer than expected. Overall, it was a calm and systematic consultation, and if a re-examination is needed, I would consider visiting again.

I visited this ophthalmology clinic in my neighborhood without having high expectations, but I was much more satisfied than I thought I would be. Even though I went without an appointment, the wait time wasn’t long at all, so I was able to see the doctor right away, which was convenient. They did everything from a basic vision test to various eye-related exams all at once, so I didn't have to move around from place to place, which I really appreciated. Most importantly, the doctor kindly explained the test results and the current condition of my eyes in a way that was easy to understand, which helped ease my worries. I was able to ask questions without hesitation, and the answers were detailed, which made me trust them even more. I felt like this is a great local eye clinic where you can visit comfortably, and if I have any eye-related issues in the future, I would want to come back. Overall, I was very satisfied with the friendly and systematic care.

Dr. Cha Young-dong here is really kind and has been taking care of me for almost 10 years. Today, I took my 38-month-old child for a vision test and consultation, but the staff was so unfriendly that I had to leave a comment. When my child couldn't see the small numbers clearly on the 1.0 line and I mentioned other numbers, the staff sighed heavily. Even though my child is really young and having trouble seeing, they kept pushing to try again while sighing. During the focus test, I understand that it can be frustrating when my child isn't looking, but the staff sighed multiple times... My child can pick up on those feelings and just looked away more. I decided to stop the test and told them to end it, and I was really upset. I had to hold back my feelings in front of my child and later explained the situation to another staff member nicely as I left. But the unpleasant feelings just won't go away.

Located in Ganseok-dong, Ian Eye Clinic is a popular choice among local residents and is known for its calm and straightforward medical care. It's a great place for basic eye treatments like vision tests, dry eye syndrome, and conjunctivitis. The doctor explains everything clearly and concisely, and there’s no unnecessary testing or pressure, which makes the experience less stressful. The clinic itself is relatively clean, and the registration and examination process goes pretty smoothly. However, depending on the time of day, there may be a wait, so it's best to visit when you have some extra time. One downside is that you have to go through several basic tests before seeing the doctor, but looking at it differently, it seems the clinic is just being thorough. Overall, it's a comfortable eye clinic to visit in the neighborhood.

They also recommended artificial tears that were suited to my eye condition, which was helpful. 6 frequently asked questions

  • Should I undergo LASIK or LASEK, and how much will it cost?

Hello. We apologize for the delay in our response. First, LASIK and LASEK are different surgical methods. LASIK is a procedure suitable for patients with a thick cornea and has a faster recovery, whereas LASEK can generally be performed for most patients. A decision should be made based on the results of your examination. The cost for LASEK is 690,000 KRW, and for LASIK, it is 1,290,000 KRW. Thank you.

  • I can see well for most things, but the text in books and on my phone is not clear. How much does presbyopia surgery cost? How long will the results last? I was born in 1972.

Hello. This is Clear Seoul Eye Clinic. For presbyopia, both presbyopic LASIK and multifocal lenses are possible. However, if you have good distance vision, presbyopic LASIK may be less suitable, and it is advisable to proceed with multifocal lens treatment. Unlike presbyopic LASIK, the multifocal lens implantation is a permanent procedure. Thank you.

  • I would like to correct astigmatism during cataract surgery. Is that possible?

Hello. This is Clear Seoul Eye Clinic. We also have toric intraocular lenses for correcting astigmatism among the artificial lenses for cataract surgery. Thank you.
