What does it do?

Epinephrine tartrate is an adrenergic component primarily used with local anesthetics. This component constricts blood vessels, preventing rapid absorption of the anesthetic, which extends its effect.

Epinephrine tartrate acts on the smooth muscles of blood vessels, narrowing them. As a result, the anesthetic is absorbed slowly from the surrounding tissues, leading to a longer-lasting local anesthesia effect.
