What does it do?

Calcium carbonate granules are an inorganic compound formed by the combination of calcium and carbonate, used as an antacid. They are used to alleviate symptoms of heartburn or indigestion caused by excess stomach acid.

When ingested, calcium carbonate granules react with stomach acid to neutralize the acid and lower its acidity. This reduces irritation of the gastric mucosa, alleviating symptoms.
